More useful and hearty breakfast will be obtained if you cook porridge with pumpkin. It is known to be very rich in keratin and vitamin T, which is a rarity. In addition, pumpkin, in contrast to dried fruits and nuts, is a low-calorie product. And this is another plus to a healthy breakfast.

The following products are required for cooking:

  • One hundred grams of pumpkin.
  • 4-5 tablespoons oatmeal flakes.
  • A little salt.
  • Water - 1 glass.
  • Two tea spoons of sugar.
  • Butter is a piece of about twenty grams.

The cooking process is as follows. First, you need to prepare a pumpkin, cutting it into small pieces 2 * 2cm in size. The smaller the vegetable is cut, the better it will be cooked.

We put the cut pumpkin in the microwave dishes, pour oat flakes there and add the necessary amount of liquid. As for water, then the opinions of the housewives differ. Some people like more thick porridge, so they advise to pour a glass of hot water. And others prefer a more liquid oatmeal, so it is recommended to use as much water as it seems necessary without specifying exact restrictions in the recipe.

You can immediately put sugar, and you can add all the accompanying ingredients after cooking. Preparing oatmeal in the microwave (recipe with pumpkin) for about three minutes at a power of 800 watts. If after a while the pumpkin is still hard, you can add another minute.

After taking out the porridge from the microwave, mix it thoroughly and put butter on top. You can add sugar or honey (if you did not do this at the initial stage of cooking). Or use raisins that perfectly match both pumpkin and oatmeal.

With fruits

Among the lovers of porridge in the morning there are those who prefer to add fresh fruit to oatmeal. But when is it right to do it: first or at the final stage of cooking?
