"Grach" pistol: features and advantages

In the nineties of the last century, it was finally recognized that Makarov's pistol, which had been in service with the army and police for more than forty years, is outdated and it needs a replacement for more powerful and modern weapons. To develop a new pistol, a program called "Grach" was organized. The main enterprise for the production of Makarov pistols , the Mechanical Izhevsk Plant, was wholly involved in the development of a new service weapon.

The work was headed by designer Yarygin, who created a new pistol called "Grach". In its design, the invention had a free bolt and a movable barrel. In 2000, Yarygin's "Grach" pistol received official recognition, and three years later it was adopted by all law enforcement agencies. Today the new product began to arrive in the units and military units of Russia.

The principle of operation, which operates the pistol "Grach", is based on automation. The device uses the recoil energy that occurs when the lock is severely locked and the barrel is shortly retracted. This is obtained by skewing the trunk in a vertical plane. Reduction of the breech part for disengagement with the shutter occurs with the help of a figured notch in the tide of the podstvol, interacting with the axis of the gate delay.

The gun frame and other elements are made of carbon steel, and the gun barrel is made of stainless steel. The "Grach" pistol has an impact trigger with a double action, with an open trigger, which is closed on both sides by the projections of the bolt. This device avoids hooking on items of ammunition and clothing of the cocked trigger when removed from the holster.

A two-way non-automatic fuse is located on the frame and blocks the shutter, trigger and sear when it is turned on. With an active fuse, the trigger can be blocked both in the deflated state and in the cocked one. Power guns are made from two-row box magazines, the capacity of which is 17 rounds.

"Grach" is a pistol that has a latch of the latch, which is located in the base of the staple (trigger), and the owner of the weapon can, at will, rearrange it to either side. When all the cartridges from the magazine are consumed, the bolt remains in the open position. Both elements - both the target and the fly for a more comfortable aiming are equipped with white inserts. On the handle are plastic cheeks, which are made in the form of a single piece, to the touch a little angular.

In general, the pistol "Grach" leaves good impressions as a convenient, balanced weapon with a pleasant descent.

During the development of the device, the modern requirements for such products were taken into account. So, the pistol has a large accuracy when firing, and the outgoing bullet has a stopping effect. When you hit the target, it sticks in the body, and does not go straight out.

In addition, the cartridge has a smaller ricochet ability, which is convenient and very important when used in urban conditions. An essential advantage, in comparison with Makarov, is a more capacious store, designed for 17 rounds against 8 old pistols.
