This terrible atopic dermatitis. Symptoms of the disease.

Frequent manifestations of allergic reactions are atopic dermatitis, which is based on inflammatory phenomena in the tissues of the skin, caused by the action of various kinds of stimuli. Such a disease is expressed by the fact that after the action of a certain allergen there is a specific skin reaction in the form of a rash and severe itching. Dermatitis, the symptoms of which consist in an incessant itching, is truly the most painful disease that a person can only possess.

Treatment of dermatitis of a similar plan should be complex, otherwise atopic dermatitis, the symptoms of which are associated with pruritus and an allergic reaction, will be a constant nightmare for the patient.

  1. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the diet, excluding the food that provokes the appearance of a skin reaction. Or, if it is contact dermatitis, stop using on the farm those funds that come into contact with which there is an allergy. Also, do not take those medicinal compounds, which, of course, know will be a similar reaction.
  2. For the purpose of drug treatment, preparations of local and systemic use are used. In this case, it does not matter at all, who has developed a similar dermatitis - in a child or an adult.

- If the response is not pronounced, you can limit yourself to taking those drugs that will remove the itch, that is, antihistamines, like "Suprastin", 1 tablet 2-3 times during the day.

- Also in this case, drugs that have a membrane-stabilizing effect are good, including "Ketotifen", "Cromoglycate sodium". Only at their reception it is necessary to remember, that the positive effect will be swept up only from 2-4 weeks of the regular use.

- If the dermatitis, the symptoms of which are pronounced, is a more common process that covers a large surface of the skin, then hormonal drugs - glucocorticosteroids with a pronounced immunosuppressive effect - should be connected to therapy. They can be applied externally in the form of creams and ointments (Hydrocortisone 1%, Triderm) or orally, strictly according to the scheme (Betamizon or Prednisolone), in extreme cases - by injection (Triamcinolone).

- If the elements of the rash are strongly wet or painful crusts appear, it is desirable to use anti-inflammatory and antiseptic agents in the form of lotions, for example, Burov's fluid or ordinary furacilin.

-In case of bacterial infection, it is necessary to start taking antibiotics.

- Recently, dermatologists successfully used the non-hormonal drug of external application "Elidel" in the form of 1% cream. Its action is based on the blocking of the enzyme, which is responsible for the production of specific mediators of allergy in T-lymphocytes.

- In the process of treatment, it is advisable to take artificial enzymes (Creon, Mezim-forte), as well as probiotics ("Hilak-forte"), which regulate the digestive process, which is usually disturbed in atopic dermatitis.

3. When dermatitis, the symptoms of which do not bother the patient, is in remission, do not neglect the course of allergen-specific immunotherapy, based on allowing the body to get used to the irritant and not respond to its effects by a pathological reaction.

4. Phototherapy is widely used in the treatment of dermatitis , the purpose of which is to dry out the elements of the rash with the help of ultraviolet action. Dermatitis on the head very well suits this treatment option.

Prevention of atopic dermatitis should begin before birth, especially if there is a hereditary predisposition to this. During pregnancy, the expectant mother should refrain from taking medication, during breastfeeding it is required to follow a diet, monitor the work of the intestines of the child, not allowing the development of dysbiosis. Caring for the skin, avoid cosmetic products with a lot of perfumes and fragrances.
