The calories needed by the body per day are the exposure of the popular modern myth of weight loss.

Our body needs energy. Basically, it is spent on maintaining its own temperature, but all the necessary functions are carried out at the expense of its daily replenishment. The rate of its quantity depends on sex, age, body weight, professional activity. At rest, we spend the minimum amount of energy, and with intense physical exertion it increases. How to calculate - how many calories a day does a person need ? Proceed from the average figures - for women this number should be less than for men, but the recommended rates also range from 1800 to 3500 units.

We can get energy from food. For general convenience, we agreed to measure energy in units such as calories. In day we must spend a certain amount of them. Since many people have a problem of excess weight, which they want to get rid of, they have the opportunity to control the amount of calories entering the body with food. There are approximate figures, recommended for adults, is 2500 calories per day. Of course, this value can vary both in the direction of increase, and vice versa.

The theory of calories says the following: how much a person has consumed, so much should he expend. If they are not enough, they will take from their stocks (fatty deposits), and if too much - there they will also be deposited. But in practice it turns out not quite so. Many obese people gain weight because of the fact that many years consistently observed low-calorie diets. Their body after some time adjusted to what they received, and reduced the flow in order to postpone something in the reserve. Of course, the use of a low-calorie diet gives some positive results, but if we consider them for a sufficiently long period of time, you will notice that this effect is unstable.

The theory about calories was put forward by two American doctors in the 1930s. They suggested that obesity comes as a result of consuming too many calories in food, and there is no role for metabolism in the body. This idea was picked up, made public. Subsequently, the authors tried to make reservations and amendments, but it went unnoticed - everyone was carried away by counting calories. Packages of products are now provided with figures indicating the number of proteins, fats, carbohydrates.

Evidence for the fallacy of this theory is, for example, the following facts: how does the ballerina who is not spending the calories received on the day of the premiere die while dying at the constant rigid diet? How did all the prisoners in the camps die with such poor nutrition and despite the fact that they were forced to work and live in the winter cold? How remain lean people who get obviously excess calories a day - 4000 - 5000? After all, after a while they must gain a huge weight.

The organism is clever. With any insufficient amount of calories coming from food, it will be arranged so that by lowering its energy needs, it will postpone something to the "black" day. Of course, if we are talking about any length of time.

So it is unlikely that there is an answer to this question - how much to eat calories per day. The main thing in nutrition is observance of its balance, i.e. The correct ratio of protein, fat and carbohydrates obtained from food and their distribution throughout the day. If you are concerned about the problem of excess weight, try not to eat fat and carbohydrate-rich foods in the second half of the day - it will not be in reserve until you have enough time to use it. When calculating the calorie consumption per day, use these figures: oxidizing in the body, 1 g of fat releases 9.3 kcal, 1 g of carbohydrate - 4.1 kcal, proteins can be ignored, because here they are secondary.
