In the process of building or repairing a house, there is always a need to carry out works at altitude. When it is not enough of its growth, people start to think up for themselves structures that allow them to climb higher. It can be a usual old table or stools with a door leaf laid on top.

This simple adaptation is nothing more than construction goats. By the way, the design has another name - a construction platform, or a scaffold. And where to take such a construction, everyone decides. Some people prefer to buy ready-made construction goats in the store, others undertake tinkering them out of improvised materials. Both ways are good in their own way.

Design purpose

The building is a construction consisting of several separate modules, designed to perform work at low altitude. On the box, you can even lay building blocks. The scaffold construction has a rather extensive work platform. This allows not only to accommodate the working person on it, but also to put materials and tools necessary for work. The main difference between goats and forests is that the former do not have fencing.

The most simple to use building aluminum bridges. Their light weight allows you to transport the structure if necessary to the right place and collect it without any additional effort. An easy-to-use option is a mobile construction paintwork that can be moved from place to place and used in complex areas. Individual variants are equipped with wheels, which makes the process of movement even easier.

The height of the dais can be different. But on average, such structures are used to work at an altitude of 3 to 9 meters. If we talk about wooden scaffolding, then in order to comply with safety regulations they are recommended to use at an altitude not exceeding 7 meters.

The scaffolds sold in stores can differ in height, size, method of assembly, material used for their manufacture and other details. But in general, all goods can be divided into two types:

1. Ordinary. They represent a flooring laid on the side parts. Sidewalls form a kind of staircase, on the lintels of which the flooring is laid. Due to this, the height of the whole structure is regulated. Most often the side modules are made of black metal, which allows them to withstand the weight of several builders. That is why aluminum is not used for such platforms. Typical dimensions for this type: width - 70-80 cm, length - 150-200, height - 180. This type of platform differs from forests only in smaller sizes.
2. Transformers. They easily fold and can serve not only as a building scaffold, but also as an ordinary staircase. This is the most convenient option for indoor use. They have a small size and weight, are convenient in transportation and work. The work surface is always in a horizontal position, even if the platform is mounted on a ladder. Dimensions of a similar design: width - 50 cm, length - 160, height - 100.

Wooden goats, made independently, can be called a one-time option. Upon completion of work, they are often disassembled and discarded. Or use separate parts for other purposes. For the construction of wooden scaffolding you need a bar and a wooden board (sheet of particleboard, plywood, OSB). It can also be made from separate boards.

From the beam cut four identical pieces for the legs. The length is selected based on the desired height. Next, four jumpers are cut in width and four along the length of the platform. After that, the whole structure is assembled. It is more convenient to start from the larger side. The legs are connected from above and from below, so that during work they do not creep. You will get two blanks. Further they are connected by short crosspieces, as well as by long ones. On this foundation is ready. It remains only to attach a shield on top.

The construction of metal scaffoldings is the same as that of wooden scaffolding. The only difference is that they can be dismounted and used repeatedly. The side parts are made in the form of a single module. And long jumpers are attached to them with screws, which in the future can be untwisted. For a flooring prepare a metal frame on which the wooden basis is fastened. The shield must be equipped with fasteners. Most often they are made in the form of pins. They will rest against the short lintels of the side parts. Already ready for construction from the metal must be completed with wheels purchased in the store. Naturally, you can do without them.
