Reversible plow: description, use

Well plowed land is the key to a high yield. Therefore, only quality equipment should be used to process the fields . First of all, this applies, of course, to plows. There are only three variants of them at the moment: rotary, single-hull and revolving. The latter type allows you to process the soil with maximum efficiency, and therefore is used most often.

general description

The reversible plow of this variety differs from other models, first of all by the presence of double mirror plowshares. When processing fields, one of them is located directly in the soil, and the second - on top of it. After turning the tractor, the couplers with the help of a hydraulic system change places. The result is a very smooth plowing without furrows and ridges. It is impossible to achieve this by using a conventional plow with a single ploughshare. In this case, when plowing from the center of the field, double ridges appear between the strips, and when working from the edge, double furrows appear. Plowing the ground using a turntable can be done at a speed of up to 6-9 km / h.

Equipment advantages

In addition, with the use of a reversible plow, it is possible to plow any desired depth. The position of its share is adjusted by changing the height of the support wheel.

The merits of such equipment as the reverse plow also include the fact that plowing with its use can be made at an accelerated pace. Turning the tractor with a working organ of this type by 180 degrees is easy and without any strikes. This is achieved due to the presence in the construction of the plow two telescopic cylinders. This equipment is reliably protected from various kinds of breakdowns. Damage to hydraulic hoses, for example, is completely impossible, since they are closed with a special canvas sleeve.

To the tractor itself, a reversible plow is attached at three points. This ensures maximum rigidity of the structure. Therefore, the plow is very smooth. The work can be done with maximum maneuverability. The advantages of a reversible plow are also:

  • Convenient adjustment of all components and mechanisms;
  • Large width of soil;
  • Ease of transportation on ordinary roads;
  • High degree of wear resistance of working mechanisms.

Design features

There are reversible hinged plows from the following units and mechanisms:

  • A symmetric rigid frame;
  • A turning device including a toothed sector, a cylindrical gear and a hydraulic cylinder;
  • Disk casings, in front of each of which is installed a drill with a sharp edge;
  • A safety device that ensures the penetration of working organs when encountering obstacles;
  • Hydraulics and support wheels.

The width of the plow grip of this type on each body can be set in four positions - 33, 38, 44, 50 cm. With the use of 5-9 bodies, thus, the width of the strip can be as much as 5-9 meters.

Types of circulating plows

The equipment of this type can differ in the section of the frame and the power. When buying in the first place, you should determine the number of working buildings. The reverse plow is selected, depending on which tractor it is supposed to use. For low-power technology, models consisting of 2-4 cases are more suitable. For large tractors, equipment consisting of 10-12 is usually used. Modern agricultural producers most often use three-body equipment of this type. Such plows can be hung on, for example, MTZ 80/82, MTZ 100/102 or YUMZ-82 tractors. In general, turn-over equipment can be used for machinery capacity from 80 to 200 l / s.

Where to apply

Like conventional plows, negotiable plows are most often used for plowing large areas of land. In this case, their use makes it possible to increase the profitability of production due to the speed and quality of the work done. In the well-plowed flat ground, air, moisture and trace elements easily penetrate when fertilizers are introduced.

The most popular reversible plow of 3-hull is allowed to be used in fields that are not too clogged with thick plant roots and stones. Soil cultivation with the use of such models is advisable to produce where the depth of plowing should be about 20-27 cm.

Most popular brands

Most often, for plowing the fields today, circulating plows are used from manufacturers such as:

  • "Kverneland".
  • "Diamond".
  • Overum.

The most popular brand of this equipment is Lemken. Revolving plow "Lemken" is characterized by maximum productivity and can very quickly unfold even on the narrowest bands. Also, these plows are highly durable and can be used on modern high-power tractors.

There are only four models of "Lemken":

  • "Yuvel". These plows are equipped with a four-profile frame and a TurnContro rotation control system.
  • «VariOpal». This equipment shows excellent plowing results along the edges of the field, ditches, etc.
  • "EuroOpal". The plows of this model are equipped with hydraulic protection of unacceptable loads.
  • "Tanzanite." This equipment of a hybrid type can be used both as a hinged and as a semi-mounted circulating plow.

Thus, the efficiency and high speed of plowing is what distinguishes this type of equipment from other varieties. Conventional plows will never give the same quality of plowing as negotiable plows. This explains the huge popularity and demand for this type of equipment.
