Belonging to the same group, Climbing roses Polka are also not an exception to the rules, therefore the rules for planting and caring for plants should be studied in detail, and it is necessary to approach the growing of the climbing rose, starting with the choice of a place for planting plants.

Landing rules

These plants love bright daylight, so they need to be planted on the eastern side of the site, so that the sun's rays warm the flowers and leaves enough, dried the dew and thus do not give chance to the pathogenic bacteria that hit the roses to develop. It is important that the place chosen for landing is not under constant exposure to direct sunlight, because due to abundant light and heating on the leaves, burns may appear. Therefore, closer to the second half of the day, the area with flowers should be sheltered in a small shadow, when the sun goes from the zenith to a recession.

Another rule of planting plants is to shelter the flower beds from the cold north and north-east winds. They, like drafts, depress the clinging polka Polka.

Selection of the site and nature of the soil

The best roses grow in areas with well-permeable soils. Of all types of soil, the composition of curly roses is best suited for loamy soil. Other types of land, too light (sandy) or heavy (clay), will have to adapt, carrying out a number of actions for this, including fertilizing with phosphate additives to give them fertility. You can use humus in combination with bone flour. Half a year is the optimal time for preparing a site for planting a rose polite Polka. Comments of gardeners emphasize the need for careful feeding and long-term preparation of the site for planting plants belonging to the Rosy family. Sometimes the preparation begins 30-60 days before planting, but so the soil does not have time to be absorbed by microelements, because roses sometimes give meager flowering and non-progressive growth of bushes.

Landing in the autumn season

Saplings of climbing roses with an open root system, which are planned to be planted in autumn, before being placed in the soil are soaked in water. After this, foliage is removed from the shoots, immature and broken shoots are eliminated by processing the sections with ground coal. The ground part is cut, leaving about 30 cm of the main stem, the roots are also shortened.

Important! Do not forget to remove from the grafted seedlings buds located below the site of vaccination, otherwise they will develop growths.

After preliminary preparation of planting material, in the last stage the seedlings are disinfected, placing them in a 3% solution of copper sulfate.

Preparation of a landing site

Planting holes for the climbing rose Polka (a photo of it is in the article) is excavated with a size of 50 x 50, retreating between adjacent holes at least 1 meter.

The top fertile layer of earth removed from each depression is mixed with 1/2 bucket of manure. Part of the fertilizer is poured into the wells, watering them abundantly, the other fertilizes already planted plants.

Before planting, the roots of roses are processed with a special mixture, for the preparation of which you will need:

  1. Water - 0.5 liters.
  2. "Phosphorobacterin" (tablets) - 3 pcs.
  3. "Heteroauxin" (tablets) - 1 pc.

This solution is mixed with a clay chatter cooked in a volume of 9.5 liters, and dipped the roots of climbing roses Polka.

Landing technology

At the bottom of the holes are poured a small mound of fertilizer prepared from the ground and manure. On top put a seedling, spreading the roots. The pit is filled with the same dung mixture and the surface is compacted.

Spring plantings

It is interesting that rose bushes planted on the eve of summer lag behind in growth, compared to those that survived the winter, weeks to two, therefore require more careful care and attention.

When planting in the spring the shoots are shortened, leaving 13-21 cm long, the roots are cut to 30 cm.

After planting, roses are often and abundantly watered, high-hilled and top covered with a film, creating an artificial greenhouse. Such growing conditions in the early days contribute to a faster survival of seedlings. The film is raised daily, airing young seedlings.

72 hours after irrigation around the bush, the soil is loosened 4-6 cm deep to ensure moisture and oxygen access to the root system.

To reduce labor intensity during the care of bushes, the near-trunk circle is mulched with peat and watered. So the soil will have to be loosened much less often.

Application of fertilizers

Young bushes do not need top dressing until August.

For top dressing use the infusion of wood ash. Fertilizing plants, starting from the second year of life, organic mixtures alternate with mineral complexes. From the third year of life they contribute only organic substances. You can use for this purpose a solution of 1 liter of manure and 1 tbsp. Wood ash in relation to 10 liters of water. Sometimes manure is replaced with any other organic fertilizer.
