A healthy alternative to shopping marmalade

Perhaps, in our childhood, it was more natural, but now it is difficult to find this delicacy without all sorts of dyes and flavors. Well, there is always a way out. In our case, it is to learn how to prepare marmalade at home. Let's get started!

Marmalade with agar-agar: we cook according to the rules

One of the main components, due to which marmalade also acquires its characteristic consistency, is agar-agar. If you managed to get it, then use the following recipe. A glass of water boil and add to it a strawberry (150 grams), previously washed and peeled from the tails. Cook for about 10 minutes, then pull the berries, and pour 4 large spoons of sugar into the water. Boil the sweet strawberry syrup for 5 minutes, remove from the plate and cool. In a spoonful of water, dissolve the agar-agar and add it to the syrup. Boil on high heat for 2 minutes, and then, after slightly cooling, pour into molds. Marmalade should stand in the refrigerator for about an hour, then you can check it for readiness and get it out of the mold. Thanks to agar-agar, it will not melt at room temperature and will perfectly retain its appearance.

Gelatin is not only jelly, but also jujube

Marmalade at home can be prepared and based on gelatin. For this we need citrus juice (2 cups), water (50 grams), gelatin (4 tablespoons) and sugar (2 cups). The ideal refreshing treat will be orange marmalade. To make it sweet and sour, add 50 grams of lemon juice to the orange juice. Pour gelatin with hot water and allow it to swell for 15 minutes. In a saucepan, combine citrus juice, sugar, pour in gelatin and heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Then remove from heat and pour into the prepared form. Take it to the refrigerator, best for the night. Ready marmalade, if desired, can be rolled in sugar or powder.

Natural jujube of fruit

You will be surprised, but you can make marmalade at home and without using gelatin or agar-agar. All that is needed is fruit and sugar. A successful combination is sweet and sour apples with ripe plums. Fruits are peeled and peeled, cut into small pieces and bake in the oven for half an hour at a temperature of 180 degrees. Then, several times, we rub them through a sieve to obtain a homogeneous puree. Transfer it into a saucepan, add sugar and cook until it dissolves over low heat. We spread the resulting mixture into silicone molds and leave it to set at room temperature for 2-3 days. Get a sweet and healthy treat for these ladies.
