How to choose a turbine tip. The success of any dentist

Technologies do not stand still, so the equipment that is available in the doctors' offices is constantly being improved. Now more and more developing such branch of medicine, as stomatology. Turbine tips are actively used in the therapeutic field.

What are the types of turbine tips?

With a thorough examination of the equipment in the dental office, it can be noticed that there are two types of tips: mechanical, working by the micromotor inside, and a turbine head where the rotation is carried out by means of compressed air pressure on the head.

Classification by type of hose

If you take into account the second kind, then the question of choice rests on the dental unit itself. To select a turbine tip, the photo will be clearly not enough. It is necessary to review its technical data. It all depends on the hose to which this part will attach. Recently, four-channel tips have become increasingly used, although there are also two-channel ones. The latter type is still used only in the offices, which are run by experienced doctors who give preference to subjects that have been tested by time. Depending on the method of connection to the installation, the turbine tip can either be wound onto the hose, or simply snapped onto a special adapter. Naturally, the price of the second option is slightly higher, but it guarantees an excellent work for a long time. Clear such an adapter should be much rarer, which means there is no need to constantly remove the tip.

Head size classification

The size of the working part of the dental machine element in question is very important, so it is chosen in accordance with the target audience. There are three types of tip: MU, SU, TU. Depending on who the doctor works with, the appropriate attachment is selected.

The first type refers to the category of small tips. With the help of it you can treat small children.

The second is the most common, standard. Usually such a turbine tip is used, if a huge number of patients of all age categories appears in the office for a day.

The third kind is more used in orthopedic offices, so dentists very rarely meet with it.

The characteristics directly depend on the size of the nozzle, so that the TU-type can see the highest power ratings. Nevertheless, the doctors answer that the tip intended for children's reception is most convenient for conducting micro-operations.

Classification by additional functions

There are a number of some additions that can greatly simplify the work of the doctor. First of all, the conversation is about the light accompanying the operation. The tip turbine with illumination is much more convenient, especially if the lighting in the office is not powerful enough. The work of such an element is most often carried out in the presence of fiber optics or a generator with an LED. The second kind is undoubtedly more convenient, since the generation of the necessary electricity is autonomous, and such a system is much cheaper than the installation with fiber optics.

An additional function for cooling the working area is in all kinds of tips. Single-point, three-point and five-point spray are selected, which is used to cool the boron. It is customary to distinguish them according to the price range. The most demanded five-point turbine tips, reviews of which are always full of laudatory words. Spray of such a turbine allows the use of freezing, even during the main work of the dental machine.

According to the type of bearings, metal nozzles and the ceramic ones that come to replace them are distinguished. The service life of the latter is still greater, but the rules of care for them should always be remembered. Any oversight can be the cause of the disposal of the bearing.

It can be seen that the turbine tips are much better than their mechanical counterparts. The choice of the working element of a dental machine depends on many factors, so it is worthwhile to carefully study all the proposals that are put forth by the manufacturers of medical equipment.
