Nikolai Rubtsov, "In the Evenings": an analysis of the poem. Dream of revival

35-37 years - a fatal age for many Russian poets. Why? It is difficult to say, but for some reason it is so. He became tragic for Nikolai Rubtsov.

Biography

In order to understand why and on what topics Nikolai Rubtsov wrote, one must think about how difficult his life was: unsmooth, uneven, all in throws and searches. When Kolya was 6 years old, his mother died, then they took him to the front of the father. The boy came to the orphanage. He was a soft and shy child. Father returned from the front alive and did not take his children - he had a new family. Another scar in the shower. A lot of them will be. The surname is to some extent symbolic: they cut it down in a living way. Nicholas, after graduating from the seven-year school, did not get any more education, although he tried to study in various educational institutions, from the Forest Technical School to the Literary Institute. He began to publish. Readers liked his poetry, but from colleagues he almost did not get support - he saw average abilities. This is confirmed by one of the later poems, which was written by Nikolai Rubtsov, "In the Evenings." The analysis of the poem speaks about the lyrical perception of the world, but there is no penetration into reality in it. The poet's earlier works are both more lyrical and profound. "Quiet My Homeland" penetrates the soul, "clings", as they often say. But life went on. He was expelled from the institute. With his family he went to the village in the Vologda region.

But there was no money, and there was no peace in the family. Nicholas managed to recover at the correspondence department of the institute, and it was necessary to spend the night even at the railway stations. But he was again expelled, and the next wanderings began. A longing came. This erupted in poems. Neither the city nor the village accepted it. He was outcast. Nicholas considered himself an atheist, but such does not really happen. People either believe, or simply do not know what they believe. The hopes that the ruins of the cathedral will be restored, which Nikolai Rubtsov ("In the Evenings") sees in his later creation, the analysis of the poem Does not confirm, because the work itself calls for a turn back. But life, so it is arranged, goes only forward. The life of the poet was tragically cut short by a baptismal morning, shortly after he turned 35 years old.

Dreamer

A poet is realistic and simultaneously metaphorically poetic. Before him goes the road upward, and on the mountain collapse: the ruins of the holy temple. What does Nikolai Rubtsov ("In the evenings") hope for in his work? Analysis of the poem says that the revival of patriarchal Russia. But Russia, albeit slowly, is gaining momentum, it is urbanizing. This is a worldwide process, it can not be stopped by any calls and lamentations. Nikolai Rubtsov ("In the Evenings") dreams of gaining freedom. Analysis of the poem puts this under a big question. Even the ancient Greeks, the creators of democracy, understood that for all it is not. There is only for individuals. Freedom only attracts people, not giving them.

The third verse

What kind of life does the poet dream about in his third stanza? In what way did Rus live? Actually, if we recall Lermontov, Russia was poor and poor. Its endless steppes and boundless forests ceased to give birth to heroes. Villages in Mikhail Yurievich are sad huts, not scrupulous attempts to decorate them with carved shutters, but poor, covered with straw. And on holidays - dancing to the drunken muzhiks. Simple and truthful. And Rubtsov's third stanza is full of perfect idyll. What unprecedented, jubilant life once casts upon him the open landscape? It is not clear that a poet sees the life before him, rising to the top.

Utopia

This is the fourth stanza. So all right and well everything happens in it, that even the spirit captures. Silence and the smooth surface, which are missing in the poet's own life, fall into the poem. Even Lermontov's legends did not stir pleasant dreams. Too clearly he saw the realities of life and did not believe in fairy tales. Another appears before the reader the verse of Nikolai Rubtsov "In the Evenings." Guys are carried with stirrups. Where are the horses in our lives, it is asked. This is from the fictitious Rus, which never was. But after the sadness with which the work began, there is an antithesis: everything has become fun, warm, clear. For the lyrical hero you rejoice: he found himself an outlet. In a modest northern nature, apparently, he finds an inexplicable charm that relieves gravity from the soul.

Subject

In the dreams of the popular village, as analysis shows, his lyrical narrative Nikolai Rubtsov ("Po Evenings "). The theme of the poem is an unconditional love for the Motherland, a return to the roots, to the original, but, unfortunately, irretrievable past of Mother Russia. The elegant lyric poet delicately and subtly conveys his nostalgia for mythical times. He clearly does not realize that even anew rebuilt the temple does not return the splendor and clarity: so vainly and quickly life runs. Christian virtues will not return to life in full. People call "do not kill" and "do not steal," but what else do they remember from the Ten Commandments? Do they open the "New Testament"? And will they open it? Do they leaf through it? Or is it a museum book, to which almost no one touches and no one discusses? What traditions could have survived in a dying village? What will happen to the village in ten to fifteen years? The abandoned houses with the windows clogged up, the courtyards overgrown with high grass, where voices used to sound, the stoves were burning, the smoke from the pipes was coming. The poet prefers not to think about such prospects. This is too heavy for the gentle and affectionate soul of the poet, sad, but waiting that life, as in a fairy tale, will give joy and happiness to all.

That's the thought that prompts the poem "In the Evenings" by Nikolai Rubtsov, if you take off the rose-colored glasses from your eyes .
