How to make a potato "Potato" at home?

Cake "Potato" at home is done very easily and quickly. It is also worth noting that such a dessert requires the use of only inexpensive and simple ingredients that can be found in any store.

Currently, there are many different recipes for this sweet and delicious product, however, we present to your attention only a classic version of the preparation, based on breadcrumbs.

Cake "Potatoes" classic

Necessary ingredients:

  • Crackers - 1 kg;
  • Condensed milk - 1 jar;
  • Butter creamy fresh - 120 g;
  • Walnuts - 60-70 g (optional);
  • Cocoa powder - 3 full large spoons;
  • Vanilla sugar - 10 g;
  • Dark, and preferably bitter chocolate without additives in the form of nuts, raisins, etc. - 1 tile;
  • Milk fresh fat - 50 ml.

Process of preparation of a basis

Usually, the potato "Potato" at home is made using purchased shortbread cookies (such as "Jubilee"). However, such a dessert can have a rather pronounced flavor of this sweet product. Therefore we propose instead of biscuits to use sweet or unleavened crackers. They can be purchased in ready form in the store, and you can make them yourself from buns.

Thus, the dried flour products should be crushed several times in a meat grinder or in a blender until very fine crumbs are formed. If it is large, then the homemade cake "Kartoshka" will not be as beautiful and appetizing as a similar shop item.

After the main ingredient for the dessert is ready, it should be poured into a large bowl, and then add cocoa powder, vanilla sugar, condensed milk and a finely grated dark chocolate bar. All the ingredients should be thoroughly mixed with a spoon and immediately begin to process the butter. Culinary fat is required to melt on gas, slightly cool, and then add fresh milk there and pour the resulting mass to breadcrumbs.

To make the cake "Potatoes" at home, it turned out delicious, the base should be stirred to a homogeneous and sticky state. If desired, a small amount of walnuts can be added to such a mass. But before that they should be thoroughly washed, dried, lightly fried, and then lightly chopped with a stupa or rolling pin.

Formation of dessert

As a result of mixing all the ingredients, you should have a dark chocolate mass that easily takes on the desired shape. Cake "Potatoes" in the home is desirable to do in the form of balls (for this, one needs to take 1-2 small spoons of finished mass). After that dessert is recommended to roll in either cocoa powder, or in coconut shavings, or in grated chocolate. When all the cakes are decorated in the right way, they should be laid out on a flat plate, and then sent to a cold store for 3-4 hours. There they will cool slightly, become more firm and elastic.

Correct feed to the table

Self-made cake "Potatoes" should be served to the table in a cooled state, along with hot tea, cocoa or coffee.
