Preparation of salads is a real art, the history of which began many centuries ago. For all these years, people have come up with tens of thousands of different recipes, each of which deserves special attention. Take, for example, the "Monastic" salad. Now it is difficult to say who made it first. Nevertheless, judging by the name, you can guess that these were monks. Most likely, they called it a dish that can be safely consumed during religious fasts. To date, there are several dozens of different variations of this salad. For example, you can consider the most interesting of them.

Traditions of the East

An excellent version of the lean menu can serve as a "Monastic" salad, prepared according to the recipes of oriental masters. Make it simple. You only need to purchase the following products in advance: 2 tomatoes, 10 radish, 2 potatoes, lettuce, 2 cucumbers, Peking cabbage, fresh herbs, and ¾ cup of pumpkin and sunflower seeds.

For filling: sauce "Worcester", salt, sesame oil and pepper.

Prepared "Monastic" salad very quickly:

  1. First you need to lightly fry the seeds. Do it better on a dry frying pan.

For the festive table, the option is ideal, in which the following components are used: 2 onions, 8 dried mushrooms, salt, 3 large carrots, black ground pepper, 135 grams of vegetable oil and a couple tablespoons of tomato paste.

Prepare such a dish in advance:

  1. First, mushrooms must be soaked for a few hours in cold water, and then boiled until they become soft.
  2. Carrot cut into strips and stew in oil 15 minutes, adding a little water.
  3. Onion crumble in half rings, and then pass until golden.
  4. Combine both products, add pasta, spices and stew to them for 5-6 minutes.
  5. Cook the mixture pour boiled mushrooms and mix everything thoroughly.
