The station "Elizarovskaya" is a metro that belongs to the Nevsko-Vasileostrovskaya branch of the St. Petersburg metro and is located in the Nevsky district of the Nevsky Zastava district.

The 25 metro station, part of the Alexander Nevsky Square and Lomonosovskaya area, was launched on December 21, 1970.

The station "Elizarovskaya" - the metro, which in its underground part was built by the architects II. Komaldinova and A.K. Komaldinova together with design engineers A.D. Evstarov and O.V. Greitz. The authors of the ground lobby were A.S. Getskin and V.P. Shuvalov.

The station received its name in honor of Elizarov Prospekt, which, in fact, is the metro station "Elizarovskaya". On the map of the city, it is clearly visible, therefore, neither the most Petrograders nor the numerous tourists usually have problems with finding them.

It should be noted that initially it was planned to give the name "Prospect Elizarova" by the project of the station.

Section 3. Characteristics of the transport hub

Petersburg station "Elizarovskaya" - the metro, which belongs to the closed type of structures of deep laying and has a depth of 62 meters.

Such underground structures of the underground represent a special kind of column-wall subway stations without side landing areas. Special openings separate the central passenger platform from the tunnel paths where the train stops. The openings of the walls are covered with sliding gates, reminiscent of the elevator doors.

Marble slabs of light gray shades were used for decoration. The floor of the landing platform is lined with granite. Sliding doors in the apertures are painted black and decorated with corrugated ribbon. On the metal cornice, located above the doors, there is an inscription with the name of the station. Along its upper part is a strip of fluorescent fixtures. In addition to them, the station has direct lighting. One of the walls in the subway is decorated with a relief image "The Rise of the Proletariat" (author of the work is DM Nikitin).

The incline with three escalator belts is located in the south side of the station. The walls of the escalator hall are tiled "under a tree" and illuminated by lamps located on both sides of it and on a balustrade. The ascent has a corrugated reinforced cement arch.

The ground-floor lobby has high ceilings and large glazed windows, under which there is a balcony with an escalator closed to passengers. Due to the windows in the pavilion is very light and spacious. Lamps installed on the ceiling provide additional lighting. Above the entrance to the pavilion is a visor.

The distance from the station "Elizarovskaya" to the stop "Alexander Nevsky Square" is 3.7 kilometers and is the longest in St. Petersburg, the second largest in Russia. In the area of the station is the House of Culture named after N.K. Krupskaya and Palevsky Park. Passengers can use the metro from 5.38 in the morning until 00.24 at night.
