Russian cuisine is famous for its wide variety of dishes. And one of the most honorable places among them is a salad. The Russian version of this dish is very different from most of its overseas sister-countries, as a rule, consists of a large number of ingredients and has a rich, vivid taste. There is one more feature of our salads. In other countries, preparing a similar dish takes no more than 10-15 minutes. At us the process can borrow some hours. Meet the "Vinaigrette"

This treat is usually served at the table in the cold season. Vegetables included in its composition, have a huge amount of useful substances for our body. Vitamins in winter are not enough, and such a salad is able to perfectly complement our diet.

You will need:

  • 2 beets (medium);
  • 2 carrots;
  • 2-3 medium potatoes;
  • 2-3 cucumbers (salted);
  • 1 onion;
  • ½ cup of peas (canned);
  • Green feather onion;
  • Vegetable oil for refueling.

How to cook

Beets need to use sweet varieties. Vegetables should be thoroughly washed from the ground and sand, and after boiling until cooked. They should be soft and easily pierced. After we put the vegetables on a plate and let them cool down completely. Do I clean them from the peel before cooking? At your discretion, but most often vegetables are not cleaned - so more useful substances are stored. It is not necessary to add salt during cooking.

In the meantime, cut the salted cucumber into cubes and finely chop the onion. Vegetables are peeled, also cut into cubes and sent to a common vessel. We will add canned peas and we will use vegetable oil.

In each family, the recipes of Russian salads "vinaigrette" may differ slightly. Sometimes they add a little sauerkraut or season with mayonnaise. This is already a matter of everyone's taste.

The famous "Olivier"

Around this dish, sometimes there are real wars: some claim that the salad is Russian, others deny it. Indeed, in fact it was invented by the Frenchman (Lucien Olivier) and proved so successful that today it is one of the most popular in Russia. No New Year does not pass without such a treat. And they call it sometimes differently: "Metropolitan" or "Meat".

You will need:

  • ½ can of canned peas;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 2 potatoes;
  • 2 eggs (hard-boiled);
  • 1 cucumber (salted);
  • 300 g of boiled meat (ham);
  • Mayonnaise and greens.

How to cook

Carrot and potatoes carefully rinse, pour water and boil until cooked. Cool it and cut it into medium cubes. The greens shall be crumbled.

Just cut the cucumber, boiled eggs and meat. Recipes of Russian salads like "Olivier" may differ slightly, some use ham in them, others - boiled pork or chicken. This is not so important. Now we will combine all the ingredients, add green peas and dress with mayonnaise.

Salad "Russian Beauty"

  • 3 eggs (hard-boiled);
  • 300 grams of ham (or boiled chicken);
  • 150 g of hard cheese;
  • 1 red sweet pepper;
  • 2 boiled potatoes;
  • 2 medium cucumbers (fresh);

  • For decoration - olives, cherry tomatoes, lettuce leaves.

All ingredients are cut into medium cubes, mixed and dressed with mayonnaise. There are several options for serving such a dish, it depends on the preferences of the hostess. The beloved Shuba

This traditional salad is Russian, without it there is also no New Year celebration. It combines completely unusual tastes and ingredients, and it turns out just delicious.   • Herring fillets;
  • 1 boiled beet;
