More than 80 years ago in Moscow appeared the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army, unique in its architecture. Theater construction

At the initiative of the Political Administration of the Red Army in 1929, agitation brigades were set up, speaking before the military. And in 1930 they formed a troupe. Thus was born the Theater of the Army. The premiere performance was called "KVZHD", he talked about the events that took place on the Sino-East Railway. At TSATRA the studio was opened, in which the actors were trained, the best graduates of which were recruited to the Army Theater. The building of the troupe appeared in 1940. Prior to this, the artists with their productions went on a long tour. The construction of the theater was occupied almost the entire country - about forty Soviet plants took an active part in this. Some collected motors, others - were responsible for the reinforcement, others - for details of marble and so on.

Unique building

K.S. Alabyan and VN Simbirtsev are the names of the architects who designed the theater building. According to their idea, the building was to become a real monument. The Army Theater is a five-pointed star. This building is a monument to hero warriors. The five-pointed star is the emblem of the Soviet Army. There are two auditoriums in the building - they are located in the center of the star. Around them is the foyer. The Great Hall has a very deep scene. Engineer E. Maltsin designed it. The stage has excellent technical equipment: rear entrance for tanks, in the center rotating drums, smooth floor changes to relief, in the scene there are rising and lowering tables. Rays of a star are buffets, make-up and rehearsal. The building of the theater is crowned with a turret and is installed on a four-meter stylobate, as if on a pedestal, what was done to emphasize the fact that its main significance is to be a monument. The room is amazing with its architecture, technical equipment and grandiose dimensions.

Legendary personalities

The theater of the army was always famous for its troupe. At various times, such bright and talented actors as Faina Ranevskaya, Ludmila Chursina, Vladimir Zeldin, Larisa Golubkina and others have served or are still serving.

Faina Ranevskaya. This is a great actress, a wise witty woman and a bright, unordinary personality. Faina Georgievna did not have an acting education, but thanks to her talent, she is still among the unsurpassed masters of the stage and movie screen. Faina Ranevskaya was the daughter of a millionaire, suffered from an inferiority complex because of her ugly appearance, considered herself a freak and even stuttered. Since childhood, I was in love with the theater, did not miss a single performance, and later began attending the theater studio. On the stage Faina felt like a fish in the water and did not even stutter. Parents had nothing against the passion of the theater until the daughter did not express that she dreams of becoming a professional actress. The father was angry and put it before the choice - either family or acting. Faina Georgievna, without hesitation, chose the second. After that, she did not see her family for 40 years. The actress has been lonely all her life and blamed her talent for this. Art was her family. The real name of Faina Georgievna is Feldman. The appearance of this pseudonym actress explained that she always dropped everything. F. G. Ranevskaya never climbed for the word in her pocket and she always had answers for everything. The most famous films with her participation were the pictures "The Dream" by Mikhail Rom and the "Foundling", where the actress pronounces her legendary phrase: "Mulia, do not make me nervous".

Vladimir Zeldin. In 2015, this remarkable artist celebrated his centenary. Actor's skill Vladimir Mikhailovich studied at the theater, the course of Yevgeny Lepkovsky. V.M. Zeldin is famous for his numerous works in films. In 1940-41, the director Ivan Pyryev shot him in the title role in the film "Pig and Shepherd". Vladimir Zeldin has served in the Russian Army Theater to this day, beginning in 1946. In his 100 years he still goes on stage and plays roles in plays and films. In the cinema Vladimir Ivanovich played more than 40 roles in the cinema. The actor was repeatedly a laureate of various theatrical awards and festivals, was awarded the title People's Artist of the USSR.

Lyudmila Chursina. Actress of the theater and cinema. She dreamed of graduating from the Moscow Aviation Institute and doing a serious job - building airplanes, but for the company with her friend entered the Shchukinsky Theater School. Unexpectedly, she became an actress for herself. In 1981 she received the title of People's Artist of the USSR. Lyudmila Chursina has been working at the Theater of the Russian (and formerly Soviet) Army since 1984.
