To understand what social relations are, first of all it is necessary to understand what society is like.

What is meant by the word "society"

Speaking in a broad sense, it is necessary to divide the existing world into two parts - Nature and Society. In this case, a person refers to both components. And society is a union of people who interact and are in close dependence on each other. In a narrower sense, society is a group of people who occupy a certain territory, have a common culture and regard themselves as an independent entity. Moreover, there are at least four different definitions that reflect different meanings of the notion of society.

The first option is connected with the historical stages of the development of mankind. So, for example, there was a primitive society, a feudal society. The society is also called the inhabitants of a certain country. The third option is the uniting into a certain group of people connected with any interests, for example, "Society for Combating Corruption" or "Young Talent Society". The final, fourth option, you can name a circle of people who have a certain position in life or origin. So, the poor are credited to the lower society, the rich - to the higher. Let us turn to public relations and consider this concept.

Public relations

Now we can consider what social relations are. Any relationship is the interdependence of the elements that make up a particular system. Speaking about the relations of the public, we understand the interconnection and dependence of all its units that belong to a particular society, which arise in the process of people's life activity. And the units here are not a single person, but a large group.

What are the social relations

You can give examples of social relations knowing what spheres of life affect these very social relations. So, the main spheres of human life are:

  1. Economy.
  2. Policy.
  3. Social sphere.
  4. Spiritual sphere.

Each of them has its own distinct differences, related to the kind of activity in this or that sphere, and every person, more or less orientated in life, will be able to give examples. There are many social relations, and they meet almost at every step. Tentatively, you can consider some options that can be credited to public relations. So, what are some examples of social relations in life?

Spheres of public relations

  • Policy. Relations in the political sphere consist of holding elections, demonstrations, rallies, negotiations. Even revolutions refer to relations in society.
  • Relations in the social sphere include relations of different age groups, ethnic groups, and professional. This includes social protection, the conditions for obtaining education, the possibility of treatment and the system of health care in general, as well as the relations of household and family.
  • To give examples of social relations in the economic sphere, it is necessary to understand that all the activities of society are directed here, which is aimed at the production of material goods.
  • There are many terms to the spiritual sphere , such as art, morality, religion, philosophy.

Each person can not belong only to one society, to one group. He is certainly a member of several organizations. So, for example, he can be a member of a certain group by nation, be in the middle class in terms of living standards, while being a member of the work collective and participating in the volunteer movement. Therefore, the society itself is a collective consisting of many different collectives. And all the connections that arise between different groups and collectives of society are social relations. Let's try to give examples of social relations, for example, in the political sphere.

Meeting as a phenomenon of social relations

This is a kind of meeting when people massively go to a certain place in support or a sign of protest about a certain current issue in the life of society. So what is social relations during the rallies? First of all, it is a kind of society of people who gathered and left, united by a common idea, to convey their idea to the government or a certain representative.

This is a kind of interconnection between the two groups, the result of which should be the resolution of the issue put forward by the public protesting group. So, for example, a rally was planned in Moscow by fans of the Moscow "Torpedo", which were against the construction of a stadium with the same name. The venue was assigned to the area in front of the City Hall. Fans, united in a society under a common idea, had to express their opinion and protest to the capital's mayor and his subordinates.
