Literally a quarter of a century ago, only beet leaves were used for food - for souring, frying, preparing soups and salads. The very root was considered unfit for consumption. Today, the situation has changed, and both parts of the plant are in use. And if earlier mentioned product was mainly food of the poor, now it is present in the menu of very wealthy people. And the whole point is that it is possible to cook not only useful but also delicious dishes from beets. And recipes can be picked up for each day, and for a festive table. And, in addition, thanks to the presence in it of a huge amount of vitamins, its use will go to the body exclusively for the benefit. So, today we'll talk about how to cook delicious beets.

Beetroot soup with meat

The first option, ideal for a family dinner, is a beetroot with meat. In addition, this recipe is very useful when you have already boiled root, but you do not know what to cook with boiled beets. It should be noted that in order to always make it delicious, it is necessary to purchase only small vegetables of round shape, and during the boiling in water add a pinch of sugar.

So, we need:

  • Boiled meat - 400 g;
  • Onion - 1 head;
  • Beetroot - 500 g;
  • Beet broth - 1-1,5 l;
  • Eggs boiled chicken - 3 pieces;
  • Cheese mozzarella or feta - if desired;
  • Greens - for decoration;
  • Sour cream - 1 spoon per serving;
  • Salt - to taste.

Meat, onion and eggs should be finely chopped, add to them grated beetroot on a large grater. Mix everything and salt to taste. Then all the ingredients are poured with strained beet broth, which remained after cooking the roots. Now it is necessary to put sour cream in each plate, pour beetroot and decorate with greens from above. If you add a finished dish with chopped cheese, you will get a real treat for these gourmets. However, do not forget that from the beet, you can prepare meals and dietary, which are perfect for all those who struggle with excess weight.

Okroshka pink vegetable

Ingredients:

  1. Beet raw - 1 pc.
  2. Fresh cucumber - 1 pc.
  3. Dill, onions - 1 bunch.
  4. Kefir - 1 liter.
  5. Salt - to taste.

Greens and cucumber to grind to your taste, grate the beetroot on a fine grater. All components thoroughly mix, pour kefir and slightly add salt (optional). The bowl should be allowed to stand for a quarter of an hour and can be served to the table. With a minimum of effort, time and money, a delicious and refreshing dish is produced.

However, one should not think that it is possible to prepare from beet only the first. From it you get delicious snacks, casseroles and other dishes that are ideal for the second.

Salad "Economical"

It can be served not only as an independent dish, but also as a side dish to any meat products.

To prepare it you will need:

  • Baked or boiled beets - 3 pcs .;
  • Boiled potatoes - 3 pcs .;
  • Pickled cucumbers - 3 pcs.

All the ingredients are to be adjusted with straws and laid in layers, slightly salted. Top with lard oil (preferably unrefined). The ready-made salad is decorated with chopped parsley and is served to the table.

Of course, we must remember that it is possible to cook a lot of other beef from beets, no less tasty and useful dishes. It is not necessary to use the existing recipes, you can create them yourself.
