What features does the robot box have?
With the advent of a large number of different cars among drivers, disputes began about which gearbox is better. In this article we will discuss robotic transmission.
Virtually all known brands of cars installed a similar detail. This transmission has some features that uses a gearbox automatic. The robot also has two pedals - gas and brake. Sensor systems, transmitters and the onboard computer serve as the third pedal. In addition, the computer has the ability to synchronize the work of some parts of the gearbox. However, there are similarities with the mechanical transmission.
The robotic gearbox acts as follows: the sensors send a special signal to the transmission during the speed change and when the gas pedal is depressed. In turn, the box sends a processing unit to the sigal about the speed with which it moves, and about when to switch the speed. After that, the information is synchronized and the optimal speed is selected. Thus, the robot box ensures the smooth operation of all mechanisms.
Recently, such a transmission has been used not only in passenger cars, but also in freight vehicles. A few years ago it was first put on motorcycles. The latest models have become much smaller. But the system at the same time began to work almost eight times faster.
The big drawback that a robot box has is dips during acceleration. This is due to the fact that electronic devices, in order to avoid the destruction of the clutch, break the resulting power flow, which comes from the power unit to the wheels when the gear changes. To get rid of this problem, it is necessary to shorten the time for which switching will occur. But the box in this case will become more expensive in value. In addition, there are no major disadvantages of the robotic gearbox.
