Vomiting and diarrhea in a child, in which the cause may be hidden

Every mother wants her child to be healthy and cheerful, but often, it is necessary to face a huge number of different diseases that upset and cause great anxiety, and sometimes confound the symptoms that only a specialist can understand. Vomiting and diarrhea in a child can be a symptom of a variety of diseases that will most often be associated with a gastrointestinal disorder in chemical and food poisoning. But also it can be a signal of an organism about more serious infectious diseases. At this stage, there are about 120 varieties of viruses that can cause a child's fever, loose stools, vomiting. These include enteroviruses, adenoviruses, astroviruses and caliciviruses. Let's consider some variants of the diseases, the symptoms of which can be vomiting and diarrhea in the child.

Increased fever, abdominal pain and vomiting in a one-year-old child May be a symptom of acute respiratory infection. ARVI - refer to the most frequent human ailments, which hurt all those who are more often, who are rarer. Viruses that cause ARVI affect cells that cover the airways from nose to lungs. There are many varieties of the virus, the most known for many - the influenza virus. Symptoms of SARS can be different, it all depends on the area of the respiratory tract, where this "irritant" settled. For example, if a bad cold starts, and the general condition is not badly affected - it's rhinitis, hoarse voice and a strong cough - laryngitis, etc. With adenovirus infection, fever, runny nose, cough, weakness, abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea may occur. Children with adenovirus infection are usually treated at home, but if there is a serious course of the illness, then there is a need for hospitalization. If the child is at home, he needs a bed rest, peace and good care. Do not force him to eat at such a period, if he does not want and he is sick with nausea, it is much better if he drinks more. Give the child in small portions of water with the addition of lemon, fruit drinks. If mucus is present in the vomit - give warm water if the heat is chilled. After the child is on the mend, make sure that he is not supercooled.

Vomiting and diarrhea in a child may be due to rotavirus infection. Also with this infection there may be the following symptoms: high fever, intoxication, coughing, runny nose, nausea. Infection with rotavirus infection can be through contact or alimentary (with eating foods that have been infected or through the dishes that the sick person used). The disease can begin with sore throat, runny nose, coughing, almost at the same time vomiting begins which can be repeated, and a loose stool. The temperature can rise to 39 degrees. The main thing in this period is not to allow dehydration of the body. With dehydration, the child may develop kidney failure, so as often as possible, offer the child a drink. Remember that if diarrhea and vomiting in one-year-old children is often repeated (liquid stool was more than six times a day), it rarely urinates, then immediate hospitalization is needed. If with rotavirus infection, vomiting and diarrhea In a child who is breastfed, it is necessary to reduce the consumption of mother's milk, as well as to exclude from the diet cow's milk. In the small intestine, in case of illness, the synthesis of the enzyme that breaks down the milk sugar is lost, and the accumulation of such sugar in the intestine leads to a liquid stool. Do not force the child to eat, it is better if he drank plenty of water, jelly, mors. If the baby is a little stronger and asks for food, it's better to cook liquid porridges for him (rice, poultry, etc.) for the first time, but with the condition that they will be on the water, without adding oil. I'm glad that rotavirus infection has a rapid course of the disease and can be cured in a short time with the help of modern medicines. It only remains to recall that it is better than a doctor, no one can correctly diagnose a diagnosis.
