Omelet Steam - Dietary Supplements

Dishes from milk and eggs are known in many national cuisines, but it is believed that the classic omelet was invented by French culinary experts. Omelette is a universal dish. It is prepared for breakfast, dinner, it is included in the diet of therapeutic nutrition, it is based on a protein diet, it is also recommended for baby food. It all depends on the method of preparation. Eggs mixed with milk, fried in a thick frying pan, baked in the oven, cooked for a couple. And they are not limited to just these two products. Prepare an omelette with mushrooms, ham, cheese, flour, potatoes and onions, green peas, various porridges.

A special flavor is the omelet steam. It turns out very gentle and easy and is recommended for children, for dietary nutrition. Not everyone in the farm has steamers, so you can do this: boil the water in a large saucepan, put a colander in it (the pan) so that it does not touch the water. Bowl with egg-milk mixture put in a colander, close and keep until the mixture thickens (usually 10-15 minutes). Such a steam bath perfectly replaces the steamer.

A steam omelet, the recipe of which is called classical, is prepared simply, the main thing is to observe the correct proportion. And it is always the same: the correct omelet is obtained when the volume of eggs is equal to the volume of milk. It is not necessary to measure milliliters and grams, half of the egg shell is a good measure. So, if it is intended to make an omelet from one egg, then milk we measure two halves of the shell. It should be remembered that eggs should be mixed with milk or whipped before cooking the omelet.

So, for two servings of a classic steam omelet, we need five eggs, about a glass of milk, a little bit of salt.

Eggs do not whisk, but gently mix, add a weak stream of milk, salt. Place the heat-resistant dishes with this mixture in the steamer for 15-20 minutes.

For people who do not tolerate lactose, milk can be replaced with water.

Omelet steam can be prepared and a water bath. In a saucepan with a thick bottom we pour water and set the molds with the egg-milk mixture so that the water reaches only half of them. The pan is closed. On low heat, boil the water until the omelet is ready.

Special dietary properties are omelet steam protein. With disorders of the intestine, stomach diseases, high cholesterol, it is indispensable.

For the preparation of one serving, we need proteins of three eggs, a quarter cup of water or skim milk, butter for the lubrication of the mold.

Carefully we separate the yolks from the proteins. For this there is a special device, but you can do without it. Whisk whisk proteins with the selected liquid, pour the mixture into a mold, in a steamer or on a steam bath we cook 10-15 minutes.

Chicken omelet chopped with sauce is another recipe for cooking an egg dish. For him, we need 2 eggs, 80 milliliters of milk, a tablespoon of wheat flour, 15-20 grams of butter.

For a couple prepare an omelet according to the recipe for a classic omelette. But, in order to make the omelet denser, we change the proportions somewhat: the amount of milk is cut by half. The resulting dense mass is cooled and chopped. Mix the flour with the remaining cold milk, so that there are no lumps. Cook the mixture in a small saucepan to the state of jelly, then add the butter and chopped omelet. This dish will be even tastier if you add a little low-fat cottage cheese.

The omelet steamed can be mixed. But, given that it is considered, first of all, a diet dish, you should not add fatty and fried sausage, bacon, spicy cheese. It is appropriate here for a small amount of melted butter, low-fat cottage cheese, mashed potatoes from boiled carrots, mildly crushed spicy greens.
