The hens are faveliol. French breed of chickens

Modern farmers, engaged in subsistence farming, prefer to breed birds of universal orientation, providing the family with both meat and eggs in sufficient quantities. That is why in recent years, breeding breeds of birds, derived for this purpose, have become very popular. And today we will talk about two such kinds: about chickens, the pharerol couples and the Kuchin breed of chickens.

Chickens: description

Those who are professionally engaged in breeding poultry, have long been familiar with the unique breed of favela, the so-called French breed of chickens.

The bird does not create any problems for you at all. As a rule, these are chickens with a balanced character, having rather large sizes and magnificent plumage. A distinctive feature of the appearance of the breed is a crest of a special form, called leaf-shaped, and a large enough beard, located immediately below the beak.

Nestlings grow quite quickly and are made out in adult individuals, thus possessing excellent meat qualities.

The bird has a calm, even, rather, phlegmatic disposition. This French breed of chickens prefers to lead a sedentary lifestyle, which often leads to obesity. In this regard, the feeding of the bird is worth limiting.

Chickens of this breed are distinguished by increased egg production at any time of the year, so in winter you will also not be left without domestic eggs. This is due to the fact that the body of the bird is covered with fluffy plumage, that is why the chicken of the favelol breed copes with the lowering of the ambient air temperature. And although the feathers in the tail are short, but the paws of the bird also have magnificent plumage, which helps them not to freeze during the winter cold. Another vivid difference of this breed of poultry is the presence of the fifth finger on the paw.

The hens of the favelog breed have extremely elegant plumage and look very unusual. In this case, even can differ in color, favorably standing out against the background of simple layers. The most common is the salmon phawed. In this case, the back, waist and wings are covered with feathers of salmon-red hue (hence the name). It is much less common for the Colombian favela, which has an unusual silvery color of the feather.

The rooster of this breed has a much brighter plumage than the laying hens. Most often, a cockerel is a large bird of black and white color.

Features of the content

A distinctive feature of the breed is the love of free movement, since chickens prefer to find their own food by themselves, searching for various insects in the soil and obtaining the necessary mineral substances. In this regard, it is not necessary to constantly feed the chickens with mineral supplements and synthetic vitamins.

The hens of the Favelol breed like to make a leisurely exercise in the open space, so it is undesirable to share them together with other, more mobile and fussy breeds of poultry.

The content of the beetles in cramped and covered enclosures can lead to an outbreak of diseases, since birds are sensitive enough to high humidity. And this in close enclosures is absolutely inevitable.

Organization of a perch

Since the chickens are quite large and at the same time are slow, it is not advisable to arrange a high roost. Birds will fall from it and be injured. It is better to build nases for favers with low, round shapes and, ideally, equipped with ladder. Steps are best to do fairly broad, given the natural tendency of birds to obesity.

Feeding the beaks

For the organization of food, there is no need to install the feeders on the ground, since the beetles, like the chickens of other breeds, love to scatter their food while climbing into the feeding troughs. That's why the feeders should be hanging, but arranged so that the chickens can comfortably get food.

When planning the ration of a chicken of the favelol breed, the poultry farmer should take into account, first of all, the tendency of the birds of this breed to overeat and, consequently, to obesity. Therefore, it is especially necessary to strictly comply with the norms of feeding, and also to choose non-nutritive components for the diet.

Dwarf beetles

German breeders, in order to increase the egg production of the breed, brought out an improved from this point of view bird - dwarf favela. Such chickens turned out to be rather small. The weight of a bird does not reach even a kilogram, but they bear eggs much more actively than ordinary beetles. Given the small size, dwarf falwels are used mainly for carrying eggs, and not as a meat breed.

Breeding of falus

The breed is not considered rare, but in its pure form birds can be found infrequently. The reason for this is not enough egg-laying of the chickens of this breed, its meat properties are recognized at the same high enough quality.

Some subtleties

For breeding, several chickens are purchased from one seller and the other from the cockerel. Specialists-poultry farmers do not recommend buying young animals from one family, since with closely related crossings, various deformities are seen in the offspring.

Starting from six months of age, chickens usually begin to swim. Eggs should be stored in the incubator before the incubation process begins. The temperature of the incubator is kept constant. Eggs are not recommended for more than two weeks, and it is best to take fresh ones for incubation.

The chickens of this breed have one significant drawback: they practically lost the instinct of incubation, so the use of an industrial hatchery for breeding chicks will be preferable, since in this case one can not be afraid that they will be thrown by the hen in the middle or at the end of the incubation process.

Chicken faverol hatch almost simultaneously. After that they need to ensure a dry room and a constant temperature. Feed young with corn porridge and chopped eggs. Then gradually transferred to a specialized feed and free-range.

Jubilee Kuchin Chickens

Unlike French fawwerls, modern Kuchinsky chickens are a product of domestic breeders and are bred not long ago.

Description of the breed

Kuchinskaya breed of chickens is quite different from ordinary variegated. A huge external difference exists between the chickens and the rooster.

The rooster has a small head. The scallop is clearly divided into five prongs. The bird is distinguished by a strong beak, a plumage attached to the body and muscular paws.

In chickens, the comb is also divided into five prongs, but its height is relatively small. The color of the Kuchinskaya chicken can be divided into two types: double contoured and fringed.

This poultry has a number of advantages. First of all, they are rather unpretentious to the living conditions: they feel great both in small yards and in large factories. When you change the location of the content, as a rule, the chickens behave positively. The chickens gain weight quickly enough.

In chickens already a day after birth, it is easy to determine the sex. In addition, the hatchability of chickens from eggs is quite high.

Along with the benefits of birds of this breed there are drawbacks. And this tendency to overweight, especially in the second year of life. At the same time, the egg production of hens deteriorates.

Breeding

Kuchinskaya breed of chickens is being bred today without any problems, since it is quite common in Russia. To do this, it is enough to buy young chickens, adults or just fresh eggs.

Small chickens should be warm at first, so they need to ensure warm and comfortable maintenance in a light and dry room. Baby food should be organized according to their needs: feed chickens approximately 9 times a day, making a night break for 6 hours. Later the young are fed at three-hour intervals. With an ideal organization of feed for small chickens must be constantly present in the feeding troughs. In this case, it is worthwhile to strictly follow that it does not deteriorate, timely replacing it with fresh one.

Organization of food for adult chickens

Kuchinskaya breed of chickens is unpretentious in feeding, so its food is not much different from the diet of any other poultry.

Initially, small chickens are fed with semolina porridge. Gradually, as they grow up, chopped greens, protein supplements and root vegetables begin to add to the diet. Chickens grow fast enough, especially if all the recommendations for content are observed.

Adult individuals are fed various grain feeds, adding in them the necessary additives to increase the productivity of the poultry. It is also worth remembering the observance of the drinking regime: water should be constantly, fresh and in easily accessible feeders.

Maintenance and care

The organization of living and caring for the breed of Kuchin hens does not require special preparation. The bird is perfectly adapted to any changes in the weather, so wintering passes without problems.

Kuchinsky chickens are a calm and non-aggressive breed, if we talk about their attitude to man, but foreign birds on their territory will not tolerate.

In connection with this, poultry specialists recommend for Kuchinsky hens to allocate a separate room for maintenance and at the same time observe a constant contingent of the bird, not placing newcomers to them.

The bird of this breed feels equally comfortable both on a free-range and in the cellular content. There is an opinion that the content of chickens of this breed in cells is much preferable, because it allows you to control the amount of food intake, which is especially important for this prone to excess weight. In addition, in a confined space, the risk of developing diseases decreases, since the bird does not intersect with representatives of other species.

Both the faverola chicken and the Kuchin breed are equally popular with poultry farmers. It is also worth adding that these are the best meat breeds of chickens. But still among domestic farmers, the Kuchin chickens are more popular because of their adaptability to the climatic conditions of our country. In addition, this breed is much less demanding to organize the content and feels great in the cells. Whereas faverols who love the open space, categorically do not recognize this type of pastime.
