Delicate flowers of the autumn garden: anemone, aster, vacccaria and celona

In the autumn garden, the delicate pink flowers-anemones-are ever more pleasing to the eye. Also great is the flowering of the asters. Less well-known plants are the vaccine (thousandths) and chilon. Their delicate flowers will decorate your garden and will not require special care.

Anemones

The September Charme variety with silver-pink flowers is the brightest among the autumn varieties. Such an anemone (also called an anemone) loves fertilized soil and partial shade under the tree crowns. Blooms in September or a little later. Propagate anemones with seeds and vegetatively. In the first case, the germination level is low, and, considering this, it is necessary to stratify the inoculum and plant it in loose soil. If you plant anemones late in the fall, then early in the spring the first shoots will sprout. And in the autumn you will be delighted that you will see pink and silvery flowers on your site. Remember that overmoistening can kill sprouts. It is easier to propagate anemones vegetatively. For example, by dividing the rhizome or tubers.

Asters

Such an incredible variety of varieties, colors, sizes and shapes can boast of a few ornamental garden plants. Red, pink, lilac, violet - all shades of autumn asters just can not be listed. These delicate flowers are surprisingly frost-resistant. They appear on the flower beds when all the other plants that inhabit the garden are already preparing for rest. And retain their beauty until late autumn, and sometimes until early December. Take care that the aster grow on abundantly fertilized, rich soils and for a long time do not remain without watering. Everything else this gentle flower will do itself.

Vaccaria

This herbaceous annual of the Clove family in nature inhabits almost all continents. In Russia, it occurs in the Far East and rarely in the south of the European part. Since it began to be cultivated as an ornamental plant, many varieties have appeared with a variety of colors. The color palette of the vaccine is very rich: from snowy white to bright purple. This annual has a rather high stem (up to 60 centimeters), lanceolate leaves and paniculate inflorescences. Planting these delicate flowers on your site, do not forget that they are poisonous: they contain saponins. These substances cause hemorrhage. In folk medicine, the vacccaria extract is used to treat eczema and toothache. In the garden for this plant you need to pick up a well-lit place, loamy non-acid soil. Sowing is carried out in early spring. Also a good vaccine is suitable for dry bouquets: paniculate inflorescences perfectly retain their shape and do not crumble.

Helona

It is a beautifully flowering perennial of the Noricnikov family. In Russia, he is very little known and rarely meets. The name of the flower came from the Greek word "tortoise" (kelone). Helon got it for the helmet-shaped inflorescence. It is a high (up to two meters) dense bush consisting of a large number of erect stems, with lush decorative leaves and pink, white or purple flowers. Blossoms hélone from August to October, frosts are not afraid.
