The drug "Pariet", reviews of which are mostly positive, is a remedy that reduces the secretion of the stomach glands. It is prescribed for peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (ulcerous, non-erosive and erosive), gastrinoma and other conditions characterized by pathological hypersecretion.

Form of issue, composition

The drug is produced in the form of tablets (rounded biconvex), coated. One tablet contains the active ingredient - rabeprazole sodium - in the amount of 10 or 20 mg, in terms of this is respectively 9.42 or 18.85 mg of beprazole. Tablets with 10 mg of active substance have a pink color, and with a content of 20 mg - light yellow. On the cross-section, the color is white or almost white, on one side there is a marking with black paint.

Patients' reviews report that the treatment with the Pariet tool gives favorable results. Tablets can not be crushed or chewed, they should only be swallowed whole. Neither the intake of food nor the time of the day affect the activity of the medicine in any way. If the stomach ulcer during an exacerbation per day is recommended to take once 10 or 20 mg. The course of treatment is usually six weeks, in some cases it can be doubled. In the case of ulcers of the duodenum, 20 mg of parietum are administered once a day (during an exacerbation). Individual patients' testimonies indicate that the therapeutic effect of them has already occurred when taking 10 mg per day. Treatment takes two to four weeks, if necessary, can be extended for another four weeks. For GERD therapy, a single dose of 10 or 20 mg per day is recommended.
