Preserves of Russia - the prospect of survival

Before talking about the Russian reserves and their features, it is necessary to divide the concepts.

Protection of nature is one of the most important tasks of any state. There are many ways to fight for the purity of nature, the preservation of its virginity. The most global scientists consider the creation of national parks, reserves, reserves.

National or natural parks are territories that are protected by the state. They limited human activities, but not completely blocked access to their territory. In natural parks people can come to rest, there are laid tourist or excursion routes. Activities of visitors are clearly regulated. In particular, in all national parks it is forbidden to kindle fires, pluck plants, hunt, etc.

Reserves are also called restricted territories. However, not all flora and fauna are specially protected on them, but some species.

Finally, the national reserves of Russia (and the whole world) - the highest form of conservation. In the territory reserved for the reserve, any activity is completely prohibited, neither tourists nor anyone else is allowed there, except for the huntsmen and other personnel.

The task of such reserves is to preserve in the untouched form the gene pool of nature, the existing ecosystem, landscapes, the restoration of lost species of plants and animals. If the reserves are under the jurisdiction of the federation, then they are considered national.

Protected areas, called "Russian nature reserves," are under the auspices of the regional government. Natural and national territories are subject to the same laws.

Reserves of Russia today are not just protected or preserved territories. These are the centers of scientific work on the study of wildlife, the place where the strategy of the relationship between man and nature is being developed. Zapovedniks help to study and preserve endangered species, restore damaged ecosystems.

Reserves of Russia are under the protection of the authorities (federal or regional), some of them are included in the International System of Biosphere Reserves. This means that such places are of particular value for the ecology of the planet.

As of April 2012, there were 103 reserves in Russia. Most of them are subordinated to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation. However, the Academy of Sciences, some biological, soil, marine or military institutes or universities have their own guard areas.

Reserves of Russia occupy an area exceeding the area of Finland: about 350,000 sq.km. All of them are centers of environmental, scientific, educational, environmental activities.

The largest are the Arctic (large), the Komandorsky. The third place is occupied by Wrangel Island, wholly a reserve.

The first Russian reserve was established in 1917 in Buryatia. The youngest is the Kologrivsky Reserve near Kostroma. This is truly a unique place: the relict forests that grow in the northeastern part of the Russian Plain have not been touched by any human hand for 200 years. The Kologrivsky Nature Reserve was opened in 2006.

The most amazing, probably, can be considered the Great Arctic Reserve, formed in 1993. It includes separate islands, archipelagos, mainland parts and adjoining water areas - a total of 35 contours. These components, in turn, form 7 clusters, which represent arctic deserts, tundra, arctic tundra. This is the only reserve in Russia where the permafrost reaches a depth of 700-800 meters.

Reserves of Russia continue to develop. According to scientists, to fully conserve the ecosystem it is required to open at least 20 more security zones. The government pays special attention to this problem.
