Original dish for the feast: rice with shrimps

Such seafood as oysters, shrimp, mussels and others have become available to Russian consumers not so long ago. However, they managed to take a firm place not only in the everyday menu, but also on the festive table. So, rice with shrimp can be prepared in several ways, but in any case, guests will certainly appreciate it.

For this dish, you need rice with about 200 grams, peeled shrimp (you can buy them already without shell or clean your own pre-boiled product). At this amount of grains enough to take 200 grams, onions, garlic cloves, bell pepper and sunflower oil. To begin with, rice is prepared. In fact, it is not so difficult to cook this cereal to make it crumbly. To do this, it is preliminary to leave the raw rice for several hours (or at night) in cold water. The soaked croup is poured into boiling water and cooked until ready, it is not recommended to interfere with it.

Alternatively, you can buy steamed rice, which is easier to prepare and does not require pre-soaking. While porridge is cooked, shrimps are prepared and vegetables are cut. Chopped onions, garlic and bell peppers are fried for a few minutes in sunflower oil in a frying pan. To them are added shrimp, after which the dish is closed with a lid and stewed for about 10 minutes. Cooked rice is laid out in a frying pan, all the ingredients are mixed, salted, spices added and a few tablespoons of soy sauce. The latter is put on the taste of the cooking, while too much of it can break the taste of the rest of the ingredients, so you should be careful. Such rice with shrimps goes well with a salad of fresh vegetables.

For the festive table, you can add some extra ingredients to rice with shrimp, the recipe of which is not complicated, turned out to be the main dish of the table. For example, prepare this seafood in a ginger sauce, serving it with rice. Root ginger (about 5 cm) chop with green onions. Add 2 tablespoons of dry wine and soy sauce, pour the resulting mixture with chicken broth, bring to a boil and season. After 2 minutes, add shrimp. Brew all about three minutes. As a result, you will get a spicy and aromatic dish that can be decorated with green sprigs before serving.

Not only tasty, but also useful such a dish as rice with vegetables and shrimp. Here you can use almost any fresh or frozen vegetables, for example, cauliflower, green peas, carrots, broccoli and others. In the beginning, you need to prepare the ingredients separately. Vegetables are cut and stewed for about five minutes over a small fire. Boiled shrimps are cleaned of shell. The cereal is prepared crumbly porridge. Then seafood is mixed with vegetables, and in rice you can add a couple of packets of grated cheese on a large grater. Ready rice is laid out in a bowl with vegetables and shrimp, salt and seasonings are added, a little soy sauce. The resulting mixture is placed in the oven or microwave for a few minutes, then laid out on a dish and decorated.

It should be said that lovers of exotic taste can cook rice with shrimps and oranges. To do this, follow the recipe described above, but instead of vegetables, season the dish with a glass of orange juice and put it out for a while, so that the liquid evaporates.

It is worth noting that making any dish, you need to be ready to impromptu, as not always at hand can provide the right products. Do not be intimidated by this situation. After all, for example, rice with prawns successfully combines to taste with almost all vegetables, and the addition of any new ingredient in it can give the dish a bit of originality.
