Material for repair and construction - MDF board

The commodity market is expanding every year, the number of varieties and types of building materials offered to the population is actively growing. Development does not stand in one place, and new materials are replaced to replace obsolete materials. Thus, instead of MDF sheets, the MDF board is proposed. As before, wood is used for their production, but the distinctive feature of the previous samples is that the pressing is carried out at high temperatures using completely different components designed to strengthen the starting material. The result is a construction product having a uniform raw material density ideally suited for machining.

Obtained plates allow you to apply to them a variety of images, as well as embossing. Due to the ability to cut various profiles, it is possible to create complex shapes in the form of workpieces, rounding corners, which makes it possible to produce various furniture, partitions, exhibition stands, MDF door panels. An ideal and smooth surface can be easily painted and varnished.

Laminated MDF panels are manufactured in the same way as seamless ones. At the final stage of the board processing it is laminated with film material from one or both sides. In this case, coatings of different colors or imitating wood structure are used.

The MDF board has a major advantage against other materials - it is highly ecological. The components used for pressing raw materials have a low emission of formaldehyde, which is comparable to natural wood. In this regard, compliance with environmental safety in the production process and directly in using the created structures contribute to popularity and high demand. The MDF board is more resistant to parasitic microorganisms and fungi, hygienic and safe when used in everyday life. The strength is twice this value for chipboards, which is due to the binding components used, the high temperature and the pressure at creation.

In addition, the MDF board has many advantages over other materials, of which the following are distinguished:

  • Production costs reduce its cost by 50-70% compared to natural wood;
  • Despite the reduced price, the physical and mechanical characteristics exceed the parameters of conventional wood, since there is no heterogeneity of properties and internal defects (the presence of knots, cracks, delaminations), and the coefficient of hardness is higher than the main building trees used;
  • High resistance to temperature changes and fluctuations in humidity, allowing to produce furniture for bathrooms and kitchens;
  • The heat-insulating properties of a slab with a thickness of only 12 mm are comparable to a 15 cm brick wall or a 26 cm reinforced concrete panel;
  • High fire safety, as during the processing of the raw material, appropriate impregnation is carried out, and the density of the plate prevents its rapid ignition.
