Master wood stoves for the bath
Bath is a cult object in our life. And in the bathhouse the most important thing is the stove. It depends on it how quickly heats up and cool the heated steam room. If you decide to make wood-burning stoves for the bath with your own hands, then it should be taken into account that the matter is rather complicated, requiring a certain qualification.
For the Russian steam room, stone, and subsequently brick, wood stoves for a bath have always been used. They slowly warm up, but they also do not hurry to cool down. However, with their own hands lay out a brick oven is very difficult. The fact is that for proper laying you should not only have special skills, but also use a special refractory brick. In addition, you should take care of the construction of a quality and maximum sustainable foundation. Waterproofing it must be done very, very carefully.
For this, the last row of it is laid out with a roofing felt, other bricks are laid on it, after - the second layer of roofing material, only after this, proceeding to further laying. Put them should be as neat as possible, laying out the inner volume with a refractory brick, so that the wood-burning stove for a bath quickly does not become unusable.
It is a common misconception that metal furnaces can be used for a bath, but this is not so. The metal instantly heats up, making the room unbearable. To avoid this, some overlay the walls with stones or with the same brick.
By the way, it's much easier to make a metal furnace yourself. In particular, there are many schemes available for the implementation of even an inexperienced builder. Now we will look at how wood furnaces are made for a bath from one large pipe.
The pipe is cut into two parts. The first (smaller) is used for the construction of a furnace, an ashtray and a grate. On the furnace itself, a qualitative, thick lattice of refractory metal should be found. It will hold a water tank made of a second piece of pipe. It should be noted that in the bottom of it make a hole for the chimney, which will further heat the water, saving fuel. The gap between the pipe and the tank is thoroughly welded.
In addition, a tap is welded into the wall of the water tank. By the way, it can be installed on a firebox, using for this purpose two rows of refractory bricks - so the water will be heated more evenly. Be sure to decorate the corner in which there is a stove, tiles or foil. This measure will protect you from the danger of fire. If you need a Finnish wood-burning stove for a bath, you'll have to turn to specialists: it's too difficult to produce it yourself.
