Martin McDonagh is called the great playwright of our time. Martin McDonagh was born on March 26, 1970. His father, a native Irishman, was a construction worker, his mother a cleaner. The future idol of millions was born in London, but after a while his parents will return to their historical homeland - in Galway (Ireland), and Martin and his brother preferred to stay in Britain. Having existed for some time on unemployment benefits, the future playwright Martin McDonagh took up his pen. An endless number of plays and scenarios were categorically rejected by the editors, after which a stunning success came to him. In 1997, his play "The Queen of Beauty," written a year earlier, was literally staged on Broadway literally in a week. After awarding theater awards "Tony" and Evening Standard, the author becomes world-wide popular.
