How dense patterns are formed by crochet: patterns and description

Craftsmen who prefer to work only by crocheting sooner or later discover that their capabilities are somewhat limited. This is especially evident when one needs to connect something dense or, conversely, resembling a knitting needle.

Knitters problem and its solution

Despite the huge number of patterns, working with a crochet, it is difficult to get a flexible fabric. For this reason, many use knitting needles for knitting hats, scarves and neck sweaters. Of course, you can try to make an elastic crochet with the help of relief bars, but it will be of little use from it.

Together with this, creating a continuous canvas crochet is much easier than with knitting needles. Here, inextensibility becomes a plus, since the products are not deformed. There are such dense crochet patterns, the schemes and description of which allow you to completely replace the ornaments made with knitting needles. This is especially valuable for those who want to tie a coat, bag or cardigan crochet, because these wardrobe items should be warm and well-shaped.

Features of dense patterns

It should be borne in mind that such fabrics will require much more yarn than conventional ones. In addition, you need to pay attention to the thickness of the thread: using yarn thicker than 300 m / 100 grams, will be inconvenient. The optimum figure is 400-500 m / 100 g.

Applying tight crochet patterns (schemes and descriptions do not matter), you should always knit a check pattern to check the yarn for shrinkage. If this is not done, the finished product can significantly change its dimensions after the first wash.

Dense crocheted patterns: diagrams and description

The patterns described below are constructed according to the same principle, but have slight differences in performance.

The first is simpler: columns without a crochet (RLS) and relief columns with a crochet (RCCS) are used here. Such dense crocheted patterns (schemes and descriptions are suggested further) are excellent for knitting most of the products:

  • They are easy to combine with other ornaments.
  • When you change the color of the canvas is even more interesting.
  • It is easy to bind the armholes and throat.

Begin, as always, from the chain VP. Further work on this algorithm:

  • 1 row: all the loops are knitted with piles (CCP).
  • 2nd row: all loops are tying up the RLS.
  • 3 rd: alternation of ICCL and ISSN. In this case, the RCCS is not performed in the loop of the previous row, but in the column of the first row.
  • 4th row: all loops - RLS.

To build up the canvas, you need to repeat the third and fourth rows consecutively.

Dense pattern from the columns without a crochet

This canvas is exclusively due to RLS, but when working on the third row, the hook is not inserted into the loop of the previous row, but under the RPS of the second row (i.e., on the row below).

Alternating conventional and elongated RLS (1 x 1) makes it possible to create a rigid and tight web.

Described simple dense patterns crochet will be useful not only for beginners, but also for experienced masters.
