GAZ "Vepr": description, technical parameters

Gorky Automobile Plant, located in the Nizhny Novgorod region, was opened in a very distant from us in 1932 and continues to function to this day, pleasing domestic and foreign consumers with cars of high enough quality. One of the advanced innovations of the company is the GAZ-330811 Vepr, which we will consider in detail from a technical point of view in this article.

This car is all-wheel drive and is capable of carrying both people and various cargoes. GAZ "Vepr" was specially designed and developed for use in rather difficult climatic conditions, which are very typical for the Russian Federation and for other CIS countries. The machine reliably performs its functions in an external environment that has such indicators as:

• The operating temperature range is from -50 to +50 degrees Celsius.
• Highlands up to 4500 meters above sea level.
• Passes to 4650 meters.

GAZ "Vepr" is produced in two basic versions:

• Passenger - the number of seats with the driver is eleven.
• The cargo and passenger car can carry about one and a half tons of cargo and five people (including the driver).

Cars GAZ "Vepr" in essence represent a somewhat shortened version of GAZ-33081, equipped with a modular body of a single, high-strength alloyed metal. GAZ "Vepr", whose photo is shown below, is provided with wide-profile tires, the size of which is 12.00R18. In addition, there is an insert of aluminum at the top of the rear bumper, on the side sills and platforms between the wings and the front bumper. It is these protrusions that allow you to stand on them and maintain the engine.

The rear bumper is box-shaped and has built-in powerful lights. It is intentionally made of two components in order to make it as easy as possible to access the towing hook, which, in turn, is fixed to the frame.

"Boar" has a winch with a mechanical drive, which has a pulling force of 4.5 tons. The cable has a length of 50 meters. The load-lifting unit is installed in a specially designed compartment located on the front bumper. The designers have provided the possibility of installing an electric winch. Also on the front bumper is located the so-called kenguryatnik, which, in addition to providing protection for the headlights, additionally gives the car solidity and impressiveness.

In the roof of the car there are two hatches that provide not only additional ventilation, but also the possibility of shooting, if necessary, standing from the cabin. Also hatches can be used as an emergency exit in non-standard situations.

GAZ "Vepr" has either 3 or 5 doors, depending on the version. The windshield provides the driver with a good panoramic view and perfect road control.

The instrument panel is thought out to the smallest detail, and the steering wheel does not disrupt access to the existing instrumentation. If necessary, the adjustment of tire pressure can occur without exiting the cabin with the steering wheel paddles.

Convenience of control is provided by the presence of a hydraulic drive of the steering wheel and an original brake system equipped with a vacuum amplifier.

In general, the design of the cabin has become much better than its predecessors: there are sun visors, hooks for clothes and other trifles. In winter, the cabin is heated by two heaters.

Engine

"Vepr" is equipped with a motor type D-245.7, which, in turn, has the parameters:

• The magnitude of the torque is 423 Nm.
• Power - 117 horsepower.

Also, the engine is supported by an intermediate cooling system and a turbocharger.

Many users note that this car borrowed from Sadko's predecessor only the best qualities and combines good cross-country ability, optimal dynamics and a very acceptable level of cab comfort.
