However, plastic nozzles and amplifiers for thresholds are not as reliable and durable as their steel counterparts. Plastic parts often need to be changed, they also are not able to absorb most of the impact, if a major accident occurs.

Therefore, glue is often an auxiliary fastening material, even if bolts are used to mount metal amplifiers. It helps fill all the free space between the body and the lining itself, and also provides a more reliable grip of materials.
