Frozen string beans - and tasty, and useful!

Frozen green beans are often used today in cooking. It can be purchased in any supermarket, and it is quite inexpensive. In addition, the useful properties of fresh and frozen green beans are known to everyone: it is low-calorie, improves and speeds up the process of digestion, improves blood supply due to the large iron content, lowers sugar levels and has a calming effect.

In my family very fond of sharp Oriental and Mexican dishes, so I often cook my favorite Mexican burrito with beans. It is very tasty. You can cook burrito in just half an hour. If you do not know what to cook with string beans, try it. You will not be disappointed, I assure you.

What you need for this:

  • Thin tortillas-tortillas - 8 pieces;
  • Olive oil - 1 tbsp. L .;
  • A small green pepper - 1 pc;
  • Small red pepper - 1 pc;
  • onion;
  • Ground cumin (zira) - half a teaspoon;
  • Frozen green beans - 400 grams;
  • Frozen or canned corn - 200-250 grams;
  • Tomato - 1 piece;
  • Ketchup - 3 tbsp. Spoons;
  • garlic;
  • Cilantro.

Preparation

Preheat the tortillas in the microwave. At this time, cut finely onions and peppers. The latter should first be cleaned of seeds. Beans and corn for just a few seconds, pour boiling water, so that they are thawed and softened a little. Cut the tomato. Put a frying pan with olive oil on the fire, warm up, then pour onion, pepper, garlic and fry for a couple of minutes over medium heat. Then add the cumin and put out another minute. Put the corn, beans, tomatoes in a frying pan and mix thoroughly. Add a little ketchup and water. Cook on a small fire for about three minutes.

Hot mixture put in the center of each tortilla, sprinkle with cilantro and grated cheese, pour with yogurt. Served burrito hot to each person for servings.

Also my favorite dish is a chicken, to which I cook a side dish of green beans. It is also not difficult to make it, but the result will surpass all your expectations!

So, based on 2 people you need:

  • Chicken meat (thighs, wings, drumstick, leg) - 2 pcs;
  • Frozen string beans - 100 grams;
  • Bulgarian pepper - 1 piece;
  • garlic;
  • onion;
  • Olive oil for frying;
  • salt and pepper;
  • Rosemary, Provencal herbs;
  • greenery.

Preparation

Chicken meat thoroughly washed and dried. In a large frying pan pour oil and put on fire. When the oil is already hot, spread the chicken on it. Fry the meat from two sides to a golden crust. While it is fried, chop the onion into thin half rings and gently spread around the chicken. Fry for a couple of minutes.

Bulgarian pepper is peeled off the tail and seeds and cut. Frozen string beans are also cut into several parts. Pepper and beans add to the onion. Fry all the minutes 5-7. Garlic finely chop or pass through the press and also add to the pan together with salt and seasonings. Cover the frying pan with a lid and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

The dish is served hot, sprinkled with sliced greens. To chicken with beans, you can also serve boiled young potatoes or spaghetti with cheese.
