Writer Yury Yakovlev: biography, books

There are things that seemingly can not be put in one row. Love of nature and love for the mother, love of life and love for four-legged friends - this love is very far from death and war. But such stories - about children and about war, about animals and about people - the writer Yakovlev Yury Yakovlevich managed to unite and make a wise and instructive addition to each other.

Biography of the writer: early years

Yury Yakovlevich Yakovlev was born in Petrograd on June 26, 1922. The author's real last name is Khovkin. Six months before the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War, in November 1940, he was drafted into the army. Mother died in the summer of 1942 during the siege. Yuri Yakovlevich served as an anti-aircraft gun, their battery was located near Moscow. The front approached so much that the distance to the enemy was several kilometers. In those critical days, Yuri Yakovlevich submitted an application to the party.

Verses of War

Poems began to write in school. And the war turned this child's passion into passion. In those days he learned how great the power of poetry is when life comes into contact with death. Poems Yakovlev Yuri Yakovlevich wrote when he succeeded. More often it happened at night, by the light of a smokehouse. The whole war was a military bureau of the newspaper "Anxiety". It often printed his poems and essays. Somehow, after the war, I saw in one newspaper poems of an "unknown author". These were his poems. So the war determined his future path.

Literary life

Entering the Literary Institute writer Yuri Yakovlev came back in his greatcoat. Cycles of army poems Yakovlev appeared in print several years after the war. Then began their acquaintance with MA Svetlov, who voluntarily was his mentor. In children's poetry he was directed by AL Barto. In 1952, already the author of several books, he graduated from the Institute. A new life has begun.

In 1949, the publishing house "Detgiz" published his first children's book "Our Address". In the second book - "In our regiment" - he collected poems about the war, about the army. From the very first lines he wrote about childhood and about the war, about what he knew and experienced himself. Literature for him became not only a job, but also a passion.

Yakovlev Yuri Yakovlevich collaborated in magazines and newspapers. He traveled a lot around the country - he met with oil workers in Baku, was at the construction of the Stalingrad hydroelectric station, on the collective farms of Ukraine, at the frontier posts of Belarus. He visited all parts of the country, met with children and teachers. In a word, I always tried to get to know my heroes closer, to "live" with their lives, and not just to collect material.

For young readers

The first story was published in 1960 in the magazine "Ogonyok", he was called "Station Boys". This was a transitional moment of his work - he became a prose writer. Following this story, another one is published - "Boy with skates". In his "prosaic" fate, an important role was played by Izvestia and Ogonyok. The writer Yuri Yakovlev was always proud of what he wrote for children. He loved little readers. He loved his heroes.

The house of LA Kassil for creative people was a kind of university. Kassil became for them both a mentor, an inspirer, and a teacher. In 1972, Yakovlev turned 50 years old - he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. Throughout his life, writer Yuri Yakovlev was looking for heroes for his works. And I found them very close, and they helped him with amazing destinies.

Where do heroes come from?

Once old actors told him about their son - about the little Leningrad Gavroche. So there was a film and a story "It was a real trumpet player". The students of A.Oranta told how the young dancers came with the teacher to the front and spoke to the soldiers - they showed about three thousand concerts. This is how the story "The Ballerina of the Political Department" appeared and the feature film "We Looked Death in the Face". The basis of the story "The Girl from Brest" and the feature film "Lullaby for Men" was the life of KI Shalikova, the heroine of the war. The story and script for the film "The Daughter of the Commander" helped to write young defenders of the Brest Fortress.

Creativity of the writer

Writer Yury Yakovlev could not help but talk about the war. She remained in memory and echoed. Yakovlev wrote such books on a military theme:

  • "Relic".
  • "We are destined to live."
  • "Where did the battery stand?"
  • "The day before yesterday there was a war."

Short stories and novels about children, about the difficult age, about experiences, when their future life is being decided, it was Yakovlev Yury Yakovlevich who told about this. The books of this direction are listed below:

  • "Travesty".
  • "Difficult bullfight."
  • «Self-portrait».
  • Ivan the Willis.
  • "Daughter of the Preference".

Life Scenarios

A big place in Yakovlev's life was occupied by cinema. In his scripts, films were shot:

  • "The First Bastille."
  • "We are with Vulcan."
  • "Beauty".
  • "A horseman over the city."
  • "Pushchik goes to Prague".

Yakovlev's books are original textbooks of life. The main topics are children's school life, war, friendship between people, kindness towards animals, gratitude and love for the mother. The main ideas of his prose are nobility, loyalty to the chosen landmark, meaningfulness of existence.

Stories of this author penetrate into the heart, touch the soul and force to rethink their actions and behavior. Without notations and teachings. Each of his stories reveals some important truth:

  • "Ledum".
  • "He killed my dog."

Three Simple Stories

  • "Mystery of Fenimore" - every night in the bedroom of boys in the pioneer camp "Dubki" appears the mysterious Fenimore. He turned their life into a real adventure. He knew many stories and was able to tell. Nights, with bated breath, the boys listened to stories of adventure in the Wild West. In the afternoon, painting his face with toothpaste, they rushed with arrows and bows, tracking down the Indian oppressors. And they fell asleep "where it is necessary," at night, it was not possible to sleep. This story was filmed in the third series of the movie "Three Funny Shifts."
  • "Sold old horse" - the boy saw on the fence among the ads an old yellowed leaf on which it was written that the horse was being sold. I read it and began to imagine, and what is it, this old horse? I thought about it and slipped past my house. Then I decided to go to the address specified in the old ad. He comes to the house, asks the owner about the horse. He replied that the horse had already fallen in the spring. "Ah, if I had come earlier, I would have saved her," thinks the frustrated boy.
  • "Striped stick" - Mishka grabbed a stick at a crossroads. He really liked him - striped, black and white. A little later he learns that these sticks help blind people move around the city. Bear tastes of conscience. The black and white stick became a silent accusation for the boy. He runs around the city and tries to find the owner. This changes the child's attitude to his actions.

The writer taught the good of small readers, taught unobtrusively and wisely. "Good should be courageous and strong, only then it will win," Yakovlev Yuri Yakovlevich said. Stories, such small ones, on one or two pages, are touched for alive. Piercing, calling for help, crying for conscience, they teach to understand others, to love people, not to deal cruelly with animals. They are taught to look inward and see the inner essence of each story.
