For what put Yulia Tymoshenko and under what circumstances she was released

For several months the whole world public, with bated breath, is following the situation in Ukraine. Mass public rallies, the opposition of the people and state power, riots and shooting, the flight of the president and many other events worry not only the residents of the hospitable country, but also other states. In one of the turbulent days of the rally on Maidan in Kiev, the ex-premier of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko addressed the assembled furious crowd . Many citizens were slightly shocked: how this woman was at large if she was put in prison? Nevertheless, the former oppositionist left prison and even took part in the struggle for her people. He, in turn, began to recall frantically, for which Yulia Tymoshenko was imprisoned.

The way to the government

Biography of this woman began in 1960. It was then in Dnepropetrovsk Julia was born. Being a single-minded person, the girl always knew exactly what she wanted from life. At the age of thirty-six, Julia became a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Three years later, she became vice-premier on fuel and energy resources. After six years of hard work, Yulia Tymoshenko rises a step higher and becomes the right-hand man of the country's president. At this post, she worked until 2009. Her attempt to run for president in the same year failed. The main head of the country was Viktor Yanukovych. A year later, the Cabinet of Ministers headed by Tymoshenko was dismissed. In 2011, the woman was arrested, and then sentenced to prison. This event occurred on the eleventh of October. Why did they put Yulia Tymoshenko? Let's try to understand.

"Gold. Court. Siberia"

The prime minister of the country, who was our heroine, was responsible for the supply of gas and fuel to the territory of the "unreliable" Ukraine. It is with this raw material that the greatest tragedy in her life is connected.

To the question "Why did they put Yulia Tymoshenko?" Most people answer: "For theft and political strife". This is not entirely true.

From the legal point of view, all the agreements signed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the President of Russia are accurate and correct. If you look at each sheet of contracts, you can not even find a small misprint, not to mention the answer to the question "Why put Yulia Tymoshenko?". Although Mrs. Prime Minister got to the courtroom because of the contracts. Or rather, because of some papers included in them.

Reason number one

Uninformed people in the text of the document may be surprised if only slightly inflated price for the product. It is because of the cost that the Cabinet of Ministers has not agreed to sign this agreement with Russia. The established price for gas was so beneficial to the Federation, how destructive for the economy of Ukraine. Despite government directives (which the Cabinet did not even accept) and persistent pressure from Vice-Premier Mr. Turchinov, this agreement on the supply of fuel resources was rejected. It is noteworthy that such decisions are always made collectively. However, Yulia Tymoshenko considered it differently. Having put all kinds of pressure on the head of Naftagaz, she forced him to sign this contract. This is the first, but not the main, reason for initiating a criminal case against the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

The main reason

On the question "Why did they put Yulia Tymoshenko?" Can be answered in four words: for exceeding the official authority. This phrase includes several sub-paragraphs.

The Prime Minister of the country was perfectly aware that the Cabinet of Ministers would not agree to sign a document authorizing to continue cooperation with Russia on unfavorable for Ukraine principles. Therefore, Tymoshenko chose an easier way. She falsified the necessary information, putting on her the real stamp of the Cabinet.

As it turned out later, the Cabinet of Ministers did not hear about any directives for signing the agreements. On the other hand, the management of Naftogaz received in its hands the present certified documents on the permission to conduct further negotiations with Russia. Here you can find just two crimes. The first of these is forgery. Ms. Tymoshenko provided a counterfeit document with a high degree of state importance. What is more weighty - she endorsed the fake genuine (on the results of the examination) seal of the Cabinet. This is also a crime.

Prosecutor and decision

Based on these two points, the court qualified the actions of former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko as exceeding the official powers. According to the prosecution, her actions as a politician led the country to the border of the economic crisis. On October 11, 2011, a meeting of the Pechersk Court took place. Having considered the statement of the company "Naftogaz" and after listening to both sides, Judge Rodion Kireev acknowledged the leader of the party "Batkovschina" guilty of the deed. He also decided to recognize the company's claim for compensation for pecuniary damage. According to the estimates of the prosecutor, the amount that the former prime minister should return to Naftogaz was about 190 million dollars. However, the court decided to increase the amount of damage several times. So, according to the decision of the Tymoshenko government, Yulia Tymoshenko should reimburse the company a half billion dollars.

Is not it time long?

Many are interested in the question: "How much did Yulia Tymoshenko plant?". The prosecutor demanded that the ex-premier be imprisoned for a period of seven years. The court also granted this petition. Although many such a sentence seemed too harsh. Foreign politicians and their many Russian colleagues believe that imprisoning Ms. Tymoshenko in custody is a political game. According to many people who were in charge of the country at that time, the President was worried about the rise of the popularity of the woman of the Orange Revolution. Every day the party "Batkovschina" accepted new members in its ranks. Fearing that Tymoshenko could throw him off a cozy armchair, Yanukovych gave the order not to release Julia Vladimirovna from prison until the next election. This is how you can explain such a long sentence. Although there is no official information on this issue. Only rumors and opinions.

Maidan and Khreshchatyk

In 2012, the political situation in Ukraine worsened. A year later, several thousand demonstrators came to the main square of the country, dissatisfied with the actions of the ruling elite. The struggle for a brighter future turned into a bloodbath. All suffered: guilty, innocent, ordinary citizens, and ardent revolutionaries. Many people died. Tempted by both sides of lawlessness erased the widest area of Europe - Khreshchatyk - from the face of the Earth.

On Maydan, for the first time after imprisonment, the ex-premier of Ukraine appeared. What is sitting for Tymoshenko, Yulia Vladimirovna, hardly anyone remembered clearly then. Tired and exhausted, she vehemently and expressively urged people to fight for freedom without bloodshed. Many did not believe that Yulia Tymoshenko was released, because the deadline set by the court has not yet ended. People began to wonder: is this action another public relations move of the government or is the release of the former prime minister dictated by the West?

Where is Mrs. Timoshenko now?

For supporters of the faction "Fatherland" on February 22, 2014 was a bright and happy day. It was then that their leader, Yulia Tymoshenko, left the prison walls forever. This decision was made by the Ukrainian Rada.

After the release from places not so remote, along with the problems of the country, Ms. Tymoshenko was also worried about her own health. In particular, the woman had an intervertebral hernia. With the purpose of treatment, the leader of the Batkivschina faction flew to Germany. Where Yulia Tymoshenko is now is not a secret. She persistently seeks to hold presidential elections in the country and establish order in Ukraine.
