Yulia Timoshenko. For what they planted and how they liberated the "gas princess"

Yulia Tymoshenko can hardly be called an inexperienced politician, although the phrases she utters sometimes puzzle the interviewers with her low culture. She has her own electorate, and, creating an image, she strives to match his ideas about how the spokesperson for the interests of this part of Ukrainian society should look.

Long history

In March 1995, the charter board, on which the "gas princess" flew, made an emergency landing in Zaporozhye, not reaching to Dnepropetrovsk, the airport of which did not take on weather conditions. Customs searched the plane and found a large amount of foreign currency, and Tymoshenko's spouses had to spend a couple of nights in the prison of this city, until they were rescued by Pavel Ivanovich Lazarenko, a big family friend and prime minister. Soon the Unified Energy Systems of Ukraine was created - a corporation that absorbed the entire gas market. How many billions of dollars this structure has withdrawn from the country is difficult to take into account, and no one today is setting such a task.

After the initiation of the criminal case against Lazarenko, his right hand, Yulia Tymoshenko , was also arrested . Why was the head of the UESU planted in 2001? The answer to this question should be sought in the case of the former prime minister, who languished in American dungeons for many years. This pair was bound by common business interests, and the fact that the assistant was only following the instructions does not in any way justify it.

Tymoshenko and Yushchenko

In 2005, Tymoshenko was dismissed from her post as prime minister, she could not find a common language with Viktor Yushchenko, who largely owed her her victory during the Orange Revolution. Many took this step of the president of Ukraine at that time as black ingratitude.

The further opposition struggle of the ex-prime minister consisted mainly in criticizing the pro-Russian government actions formed by Viktor Yanukovych, its main leitmotif was the line for all-out Ukrainization and the policy of European integration associated with the part of the electorate with independence. Calls to strengthen national cohesion were heard from prison dungeons.

Since 2005, Tymoshenko has repeatedly expressed disagreement with the legal side of natural gas supplies to Ukraine. The intermediary company through which the purchases took place was called RosUkrEnergo and belonged to three owners: Gazprom (50%) from the Russian side and Firtash (45%) with Fursin (5%) - from the Ukrainian. For some reason, President Yushchenko lobbied for such an order of trade relations, and on this basis he had a conflict with the prime minister. This situation lasted until 2008, when Naftogaz of Ukraine became the direct buyer. This happened because RosUkrEnergo failed to pay the debt for 4 billion cubic meters of gas received in late 2007.

Everyone fled - she works

The position of President Viktor Yushchenko, which gave direct instructions to curtail all negotiations, is not interesting to sign a new contract and thus put the economic security of the country under question. In October 2008, with the debt of $ 2.2 billion and the absence of agreements, the prospect of a complete cutoff of Ukraine's gas supply was very real. The signing of the contract was scheduled for the last day of 2008. From the conflict, all the leaders of the country were removed. The resistance of the Ukrainian establishment to direct supplies without intermediaries was noted by the Russian side. As a result, from January 1, 2009 the valve was shut off.

Signature and terms of the contract

On January 18, the memorandum was signed. On the Russian side, V. Putin took part in its adoption, and Yulia Tymoshenko with the Ukrainian side. Why did they put her on, assuming the responsibility to negotiate with Moscow, while the rest of the management rested, celebrating the New Year and Christmas? The reason was found. Conditions were recognized as bonded, and the price was unprecedentedly high (up to $ 376 per 1,000 cubic meters).

The criminal case was instituted during the reign of President Yushchenko, so further consideration of it even under Yanukovych can not be qualified as a political reprisal for a patriot, which is based on a "pro-Kremlin" regime. From the point of view of the interests of the Russian Federation, it is difficult to overestimate the service rendered to Moscow by Yulia Tymoshenko. The term of imprisonment, appointed as punishment, was seven years.

During her detention, the famous prisoner was almost always in the hospital. Some leaked information makes it possible to judge that she simply feigned a serious illness.

Given all the circumstances under which the signing of gas agreements took place, it would be difficult to say what Tymoshenko was for. Julia Vladimirovna flew to Moscow for the reason that no one else could or did not want to do it. Ukraine-Russia relations have reached a deadlock because of the inconsistent and hostile policies pursued by the Yushchenko administration, the constant threats of the country's entry into NATO and the denial of good-neighborly relations. If Viktor Andreevich ventured to fly to the talks in Belokamennaya, it would be unlikely that Putin and Medvedev would talk to him, let alone any successes. To expect that the valve will open by itself, also did not have to. Yulia Tymoshenko could only ruin the situation. Why did you put her first at the negotiating table, and then at the Kachanovsky penal colony? Was she a political prisoner? Could it be otherwise? There are many questions, few answers.

Liberation Day

But nothing lasts forever. Another Maidan, which happened in Kiev in 2013, brought to power the representatives of the Batkivshchyna Party, whose leader is Yulia Tymoshenko. For which the ex-prime minister was imprisoned, now it does not matter, from the very first days of confrontation he actively supported the pro-European movement, because of the grid, urging the rebels to fight to the end, not sparing their lives. And these warlike cries were heard.

Yulia Tymoshenko was released on February 22, 2014 immediately after the flight from Ukraine Yanukovych. The return was triumphal and was accompanied by pictures of hand-lifting, rolling of the eyes and posing with a crutch supporting the weakened from the constant lying legs, shod in high-heeled shoes. At the reception in the American embassy in general there was a healing, though short-lived and explained, obviously, by a special miraculous atmosphere of this institution.

Despite the fact that now nothing prevents the investigation of the crimes of the "bloody regime of Yanukovych," the new revolutionary authorities are slow to deal with the circumstances of the case on which Yulia Tymoshenko was convicted. For what put her, now it does not matter, but the main contender for the presidential mace Peter Poroshenko already politely asked the rebellious lady not to take away part of his voters. He believes that if the forces that call themselves democratic, will come out with one candidate, then victory can be won already in the first round. Klitschko agreed. Lady Yu did not manage to persuade.
