Fear of clowns - this is not funny!

We are everywhere pursued by fears and various phobias. Where do they come from in the century when mankind managed to split the atom and see the contents of the molecule? It seems that everything has been studied all along and across. Each phenomenon has its own logical or other explanation. But no. We persistently continue to be afraid of something. Fears sometimes reach ridiculous. We are afraid of our own shadow, reflections in the mirror, we avoid dogs and cats. We never enter the elevators, because there we are frightened by a closed space, and we just in case pass the person with an empty bucket ... And yet in the group of fears, the fear of clowns seems somehow especially ridiculous. Yes, yes, these eccentric people with red noses and bright wigs, which act as a warm-up between the performances of the circus stars.

How frighten those who make us laugh?

What caused the fear of clowns? What is the name of this disease? Can you really be afraid of these funny and clumsy people? It turns out, you can! It's strange, but it's the children (who are the main spectators of the clown) who most often experience some sort of unconscious fear of clowns. Often they escape from the views with a wild roar. Scientists, having conducted a study, found out that fear is provoked in children by the unknown, novelty. They simply do not know what to expect from the artists, they are delighted and frightened by the changeable mood of people in bright clothes. This provokes unconscious alertness and fear. Fear of clowns is a phobia that can appear if the child has witnessed how one of the spectators was frightened.

That's how childhood!

By the way, such a trauma can stay in your psyche for a long time. And even having reached adulthood, a former child often continues to unconsciously fear circus funnies. Statistics show that every sixth person on the planet is afraid of clowns. Even more often there is talk about the fact that someone does not fear this circus artist, but also does not care for him. This is also one of the sides of phobia. Sometimes this attitude to the clowns is formed by the cinema, which exposes them in an unattractive light of murderers and tormentors. And if the directors guarantee such creations sold-out, then for artists of this genre this trend turns into a nightmare, as it forms their negative image. Despite the seemingly trifling nature of this type of psychological illness, it is very serious. Its consequences can be irreversible: from sudden fear to complete rejection of communication with the society. In order not to replenish the ranks of people diagnosed with the "fear of clowns", read the correct classical literature, and not the avant-garde shocking literary creations of modern graphomaniacs. Thoroughly go to the choice of films. And remember that the fear of clowns is treated with both psychotropic drugs and tranquilizers. In addition, new psychological techniques, trainings and, of course, hypnosis are constantly being developed and introduced. Therefore, when the first symptoms appear, always seek help from doctors. Timely advice will allow faster diagnosis and cure of the disease.
