Excellent cranberry jam: the recipe is classic, as well as with pears, oranges and carrots
So, let's tell you how to cook jam from cowberry. On the choice we offer several recipes - you can choose a classic, and with various additives - with apples or pears, citrus or even with carrots! By the way, you can use the stock not only for cooking kissels or fruit drinks, but also for filling open cakes, biscuits or rolls.
Cranberry jam: recipe for classic
For cooking, you will need:
- 1 kilogram of fresh cranberries;
- Half a glass of water;
- 2 cups of sugar;
- Half a cinnamon stick or a little ground;
- A teaspoon of lemon peel;
- 3 stars of a carnation.
Rinse the berries and go from garbage, leave to dry on a towel. At this time, you can cook sugar syrup: in half a glass of water, dissolve 2 tbsp. Sugar and bring to a boil. Strain if necessary. Fill with the resulting liquid berries, after the pan, put on the fire and cook until ready (until the berries become soft, and the jam is moderately thick), and at the moment when you consider that the cooking is almost complete, add clove, lemon zest and Cinnamon. Of course, spices are added at will, but they will make your workpiece more fragrant. After removing the dishes with jam from the fire, allow it to cool slightly, and then pack it in sterile jars, roll them up and put them on storage.
Cranberry jam: recipe with pears
Prepare:
- 2 kilograms of fresh berries and soft pears;
- 4 kilograms of granulated sugar;
- On a little bit of cinnamon and cloves;
- A glass of plain water.

Prepare:
- 1 kilogram of berries;
- 300 g of fresh carrots;
- 400 grams of granulated sugar.
Combine the berries and rinse, peel the carrots and cut them into cubes, circles, or you can simply rub it on a large grater. Blanch the cranberries in boiling water for a couple of minutes, then pull out with a jumper, pour the sugar and cook a little - it will be enough and 5 minutes. Add the carrots and bring the jam until cooked. That's so simple. Harvesting of cranberries will take a worthy place among your stocks for the winter. Useful and tasty, jam will be especially useful in the cold season, since it is the most natural source of vitamins and other nutrients.
