Braised squid with vegetables: the best recipes

Therefore, before starting the process, be sure to check whether you have at hand:

  • Six large squids.
  • For ½ teaspoon of thyme and basil.
  • Red bell pepper.
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce.
  • 300 grams of fresh mushrooms.
  • 5 tablespoons of lemon juice.
  • Head of onions.
  • 3 teaspoons of a mixture of ground peppers.
  • A pair of lobules of young garlic.
  • For a third of a teaspoon of dried paprika and sea salt.

Thanks to this abundance of spices, stewed squid with vegetables turns out to be unusually fragrant. As for mushrooms, in this case it is desirable to use oyster mushrooms.

Process description

At the initial stage, you need to take time to prepare the main ingredient. Squids are peeled, freed from the entrails, washed in cool water and cut into straight rings. After that, they are placed in a marinade, consisting of a mixture of peppers and lemon juice, and put aside for half an hour.

In a skillet, greased with warm vegetable oil, lightly fry the onions cut into half rings. When it becomes transparent, crushed garlic and strips of Bulgarian pepper are added to it. Five minutes later, the mushrooms washed and cut into plates are sent to the pan with vegetables. All this season with spices and cook for about half an hour.

Then tomato sauce, sea salt, paprika and pickled squid are spread to the contents of the pan. Everything is mixed well and after a couple of minutes they are removed from the plate. Variant in sour cream sauce

The dish, made according to the technology described below, is distinguished by a light and very fresh taste. In its composition there are simple and affordable ingredients that you can easily buy in any supermarket. Before you start preparing such a budget, like stewed squid with vegetables (recipes with a photo are discussed in today's publication) you need to stock up on everything you need in advance. This time you will need:

  • 400 grams of sour cream.
  • Kilo of squid.
  • A couple of carrots.
  • Large juicy Bulgarian pepper.
  • A pair of bulbs.
  • Slice of garlic.
  • Salt.

Since the stewed squid with vegetables will be pre-fried in a pan, care should be taken to ensure that at the right time you have at hand a little vegetable oil. As for the Bulgarian pepper, for the preparation of this dish it is desirable to use large fleshy specimens. It is through this that you will be able to achieve an easy and fairly fresh taste.

Step-by-Step Technology

In the beginning, you should start with vegetables. They are washed, peeled and crushed. Onions cut into thin semicircles. Carrots and peppers shred straw. In a frying pan, greased with vegetable oil, spread the garlic cut into four parts and wait for it to turn yellow. After that, it is taken out of the dishes, and in its place send the chopped onions and carrots and fry them until soft.

Then, to the contents of the frying pan, in which the future stewed squid with vegetables is prepared, they spread the seafood cut into strips. Almost immediately after the mollusks, the finely chopped Bulgarian pepper is also sent there.

In a separate bowl combine sour cream, salt and spices. All the well beaten, pour the resulting mixture of the contents of the pan and bring to a boil. After five minutes, the dish is sprinkled with chopped herbs, covered with a lid and removed from the fire. In another quarter of an hour squid stewed with vegetables can be served. In sour cream they are especially delicious.
