Since ancient times, duck meat is considered an exquisite delicacy, as its taste is simply flawless. It is for this reason that a large part of the owners of suburban real estate are happy to cultivate this bird. In this case, the duck of the Bashkir breed is especially valuable, since one such individual can bring in the two seasons (spring and summer) of the order of hundreds of eggs, from which it is possible to grow more than fifty ducks, and each of them will reach a weight of two kilograms by the end of the season.

An activity to grow the above-mentioned bird can bring a decent income, especially if there is a pond or artificial pond near the country house . If there is no aquatic ecosystem, the breeding of drakes is more costly, and they need more feed.

Bashkir ducks were bred as a result of crossing "Peking" individuals at a breeding plant in the Republic of Bashkortostan. That's why they got that name. Bashkir drakes are considered an early breed. When growing individuals for meat, poultry gets value after 1.5 months. After this period of time, the Bashkir ducks begin to shed, and they gain weight not so intensively. Experts at the same time note that these individuals are distinguished by low-fat meat.

A newly hatched brood is placed in cages or directly on the floor of the room, which is specially equipped for breeding poultry. The air temperature should not be less than 30 degrees Celsius. As soon as the ducklings turn 21, it can be reduced to 16-18 degrees Celsius.

Bashkir ducks are kept in a well-lit room. The litter for young individuals should be deep. To walk the Bashkir ducklings follows directly on a pond or a pond. The light day for three-week pets is reduced to 9-10 hours and this mode is preserved until the brood is 5 months old. The day of light increases to 15 hours for Bashkir individuals of 10 months. For this, as a rule, use electric lamps (3-4 W per 1 m 2 ).

Bashkir ducks should be kept with a hen. It will extract food for the young and protect them in case of danger. However, it is not always possible to find it.

As a result, for example, a duck Bashkir colored is grown with the help of an ordinary chicken. At the same time, her duties are known to the latter no worse than the "mother-duck".

At the same time, it is necessary to monitor the health of ducks, in spite of the fact that this kind of poultry is quite resistant to infectious diseases. Recently, poultry farmers began to show concern about the "new duck syndrome", with which the antibiotic "Terramycin" effectively copes. Also young individuals often get viral hepatitis of the liver, as a result of which most of the birds die.

However, if you can take preventive measures in time, ducks of the Bashkir breed will forget about infections and various ailments that will allow you to keep their population.
