The antibiotic "Ceftriaxone" is able to pass through the placental barrier and penetrate into breast milk in insignificant concentrations. In milk, there are three to four percent of the serum level of the drug.

The antibiotic "Ceftriaxone" is prescribed in the treatment of a number of infectious lesions caused by sensitive microorganisms. Such diseases include lung abscess, pneumonia, mastoiditis, bronchiectasis, otitis media, gonorrhea, peritonitis, meningitis. The agent is indicated for infections in patients with weakened immunity and neutropenia.

The drug is prescribed for respiratory infections: bronchitis (acute and chronic), as well as pleural empyema. Indications include abdominal infections, gastrointestinal disorders, typhoid fever, salmonellosis, sepsis, bacterial endocarditis. Antibiotic "Ceftriaxone" is prescribed for infection of joints and bones, including in the maxillofacial area. In clinical practice, there is information about the successful use of the drug in chlamydial infection.
