"Front" porridge

This recipe was used by Russian soldiers of the Great Patriotic War. Nowadays it can be easily repeated in field conditions or in the country. Buckwheat porridge at the stake is prepared as follows:

  • Hang the pot on the fire and wait for it to warm up. After that, put into it finely chopped unsalted fat.
  • Fry the chopped onion on it.
  • Send a glass of buckwheat and any stew (one jar) to the pot. Roast foods, stirring, a few minutes.

  • Season products with mayonnaise, olive oil and ground pepper.
  • Ripe tomatoes cut into slices and place them on a flat plastic plate.
  • Put the cheese stuffing over the vegetables and decorate them with fresh herbs.

Ear from freshwater fish

What to cook in the hike if you combine it with fishing? In this case, the best dish will be a delicious and aromatic ear cooked on the fire. The recipe for the dish read below:

  • 500 grams of fish (ruff, sterlet, perch) thoroughly cleaned, rinse and separate the fillets from the bones.
  • Cut the fish into small pieces and dab them into water, diluted with starch.
  • After this, fry the fillet in oil until golden brown.
  • Pour water into the kettle and bring it to a boil.
  • Dip it into the fish, chopped horseradish, ginger and wild garlic.
  • After a quarter of an hour, strain the broth, return the roasted fillets, add soy sauce, a little salt and ground pepper.

Bring the fish to boil again and cook for 20 minutes.

Cabbage soup and stewed cabbage soup

Food on the trip is usually collected in advance. That is, you must decide what to cook for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For the first dishes you will need vegetables and stew, and in some cases, pasta. We want to tell you how to cook delicious cabbage soup in camp conditions:

  • Place a pot of clean water over the fire.
  • Finely chop cabbage, cut onion rings and bar - carrot.
  • Cabbage put in boiling water, and fry the remaining vegetables in a pan.
  • Open the jar of stew, cut it into pieces and also send the meat to the bowler.

  • For the dough, mix 500 ml of water, 300 grams of wheat flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, half a teaspoon of salt, a little vegetable oil, two tablespoons of egg powder (you can do without), baking soda and citric acid in a deep bowl.
  • Spread a frying pan on the fire, oil it with oil and pour the dough into the center.
  • Once the bottom of the pancake is baked, it needs to be turned over.
