What is a bundle of His?

Before explaining what the bundle of His is, let's turn to the device of the human heart. As you probably remember from the school lessons of biology, this organ consists of atria and ventricles. Their contractions provide the body with blood circulation. The work of the heart occurs under the influence of electrical impulses, which are produced by its structures. The sinus node is dominant in this respect. It generates impulses that reduce the atria. After this, the pulse reaches the atrioventicular node located exactly between the atria and the ventricles. The impulse for a moment lingers in it, and then passes through the bundle of His. The common trunk splits into two pencils - along them the impulse enters the ventricles.

Disease

The term "bundle bundle blockade" in surgery indicates a conduction disorder. The electric pulse then slows down just below the point where the beam is divided in two. The causes of this phenomenon, as a rule, becomes hypertensive disease or other problems with the heart. It should be emphasized that if the blockade is observed in the patient for the first time, it is necessary first of all to exclude the possibility of myocardial infarction.

Structure

The bundle of the Hyis, as already noted above, at the exit from the atrioventricular node is divided into two legs: the right and left. Blockade can occur anywhere in the leg. In addition, it is customary in medicine to distinguish its full and incomplete varieties. Each of them can be recognized by specific signs, reflected on the cardiogram. Do not forget that the blockade can manifest itself and disappear without a trace for no apparent reason. In the latter case, an intermittent blockade is diagnosed. Constantly heart palpitations are almost always accompanied by tachy-dependent blockade - it extends exclusively to the right leg and completely passes after the heart rhythm is normalized.

Effects

The right or left leg of the bundle of His, if a blockade occurs with them, does not threaten the life of a person. The impulse can go roundabout ways and make the heart contract. The same applies to the semiblocks anterolateral and posterior. In general, this type of conduction disturbance does not imply any special treatment. It usually passes completely asymptomatic and is detected with an ECG. But if both legs are blocked, most likely, an implantation of a pacemaker is required. The danger lies also in the fact that the blocked bundle of Geese is capable of distorting the cardiogram beyond recognition. To establish the fact of myocardial infarction in this case will be extremely difficult.

Prevention

If you want to protect yourself from such troubles, follow a few simple recommendations. Try not to overwork, sleep as much as you need, eat right. Try also to give up smoking and alcohol - this negatively affects the condition of the heart. As soon as you find anxious symptoms, for example, burning in the chest, immediately go to the doctor.
