What beach offers the Gulf of Finland for recreation? The best beaches on the shore of the Gulf of Finland: map, photos and reviews

The Gulf of Finland is a site in the east of the Baltic Sea, washing the shores of three countries: Finland, Estonia and Russia. In Estonia, the cities of Tallinn, Toila, Sillamäe, Paldiski and Narva-Jõesuu go to it, in Finland there are Helsinki, Kotka and Hanko, and in Russia - St. Petersburg (including the adjacent towns), Sosnovy Bor, Primorsk, Vyborg, Vysotsk and Ust-Luga.

Finland

The seaside cities of the country literally come alive with the arrival of summer - more and more people start to go out into the countryside and spend their free time on the beach. This applies to the inhabitants of Russia.

Domestic tourists go to their neighbors on vacation regularly, as here you can find an absolutely amazing combination: the northern nature and the beautiful southern sea. And although there are many beautiful places in Finland, worthy of attention, there is one which must be first of all paid attention to those wishing to rest on the shore of the Baltic Sea.

Helsinki

The capital of the Finnish state boasts about three dozen beaches, of which 11 are on the seashore. The best beaches of the Gulf of Finland on this territory are Hietaniemi, Pihlajasaari, Rajasaari, Tervasaari and Tuorinniemi.

Hietaniemi Beach

The central beach of the capital is the most visited place of rest for local and visiting visitors. It is clean and comfortable, the beach is well-groomed and equipped with changing cabins, toilets, garbage cans, a playground for children.

Pihlajasaari

There are also beautiful, but quiet and peaceful, not crowded beaches of the Gulf of Finland. On the map Pihlajasaari looks like two pieces of land, connected by a bridge.

You can get to it only by ship or ferry, however the beauty of this corner of the Finnish land and the calm and comfort of its beach are worth the effort.

Pihlaasaari was once an island of mansions and cottages. Some of them have survived to this day, hiding from a curious eye among rocks and trees. Later, however, it turned into a resort area.

Why is he one of the best? Island Pihlajasaari is a combination of beautiful nature, comfortable sandy beaches and landscaped territory. Here there is a beach for nudists. There are gazebos for cooking, a pier for boats, saunas, restaurants, besides, here you can lay out tents for the weekend.

Estonia

Like Finland, this country has access to the sea, and like in Finland, there is where to relax and what to see. The main sea resorts of the country are Pärnu, Kuressaare, Haapsalu, Toila and Narva-Jõesuu, of which the last two have beaches on the shore of the Gulf of Finland.

Toila

This small resort town can offer a wonderful sandy coast, which looks quite peculiar due to the mounds of flat stones here and there. It has a coast guard, as well as paid parking, Wi-Fi, information stands and children's attractions, and, of course, toilets and cabanas for changing clothes.

This beach (the Gulf of Finland in this resort part of Estonia is clean and corresponds to sanitary standards) is quite popular among Estonians and foreign tourists, it is available around the clock and is free. In summer, a tavern with soft drinks, snacks and ice cream works here.

Narva-Jõesuu

"Northern Riviera", as this resort is also called, has the longest beach in Estonia - its length is about 9 kilometers. Nearby there is a coniferous forest.

On the seashore for the guests are equipped with changing cabins and toilets, places for a fire, there is an outdoor shower, children's attractions, volleyball courts.

Nõva

Another worthy beach (the Gulf of Finland and resorts on its shores are well-deserved and popular in Estonia) is located in the town of Nyva, just 120 km from Tallinn. Pine forests, various animals and birds coexist here with the purest "singing" sands of the many kilometers of coast.

Nyva is also more than 20 picnic sites, barbecues, tables, about a dozen toilets, even for people with disabilities. The beach is cleaned every day, so everything is very clean and tidy. Tents are allowed everywhere except the forest.

However, this beach may not be a very suitable place for families with young children - the water is sharp here, the depth reaches two meters, only ten steps from the shore.

Pirita Beach, Tallinn

Within the limits of Tallinn is one of the best places of rest in it. Pines here almost close to the shore, covered with fine sand, together forming a large, landscaped, more than 4 km long, beach. The Gulf of Finland in summer warms up here to a temperature of +16 ° С ... +20 ° С, making bathing, especially on hot days, quite comfortable. Water near two other capital "sandy beaches" - Stroomi and Kakumäe - usually warms less.

Infrastructure Pirita is developed at a decent level - there are toilets, changing cabins, showers, along the entire beach there are paths for cyclists.

In addition, on the shore, there is plenty to do for those who are committed to active rest - the Yachtport Center with a harbor is available for guests, a little bit away from it - an entertainment complex with bars, restaurants, gyms, discos are often held.

However, Pirita also has disadvantages - it is very popular, but because here it is almost always noisy, a lot of people (and as a consequence - there is nowhere to place your sunbed), you can not sunbathe nude.

Russia

Located between the two countries mentioned above, Russia also boasts a neighborhood with the Gulf of Finland and noteworthy beaches on its shore. Even residents of the "northern capital" - St. Petersburg - can sunbathe in the sun in the summer and relax under the measured whisper of waves, without leaving it.

Laskovy beach, St. Petersburg

The village called Sunny is located in the resort area of St. Petersburg, it is known since the XVIII. "Affectionate" appeared here in the late 1960s - early 1970s, and since then and to this day is considered one of the best that the Gulf of Finland can offer. Beaches, photos of which are demonstrated above, surpass it in terms of infrastructure, but lose in terms of availability and originality.

"Affectionate" is a public one, it is free of charge and is available around the clock. To services of visitors - cabanas for changing clothes, toilets, garbage cans and even a fountain for feet.

Fans of volleyball will find on "Laskovoy" about 10 playgrounds. Almost all summer competitions are held here in this sport. There are several cafes and restaurants within reach.

Since 2012, the coast is no longer allowed to build bonfires and make shish kebabs, in the role of "replacement" are separate areas with tables, benches and barbecues.

"Affectionate" is not a unique beach: the Gulf of Finland, or rather its significant coastal part in the area of the resort village of Komarovo, has become a specially protected natural area where it is forbidden to light a fire and to break up a camp.

Rospotrebnadzor does not recommend swimming here, however, as on most beaches of the Gulf of Finland, however, the patrons of "Laskovoy" assure that the best place to swim is in the southern part: there are no rocks and it is deep enough.
