Veroshpiron: instructions for use

When swelling, which is caused by cardiovascular insufficiency, appoint veroshpiron. Instructions for use also indicate its use in cirrhosis and paroxysmal myoplegia. Prescribe this drug and for diseases that are accompanied by fluid accumulation in the abdominal cavity (ascites).

Since the Hungarian drug "Veroshpiron" is a competitive hormone antagonist, which is produced by the adrenal glands (their cortical layer), it has the opposite effect on the mineralocorticoid aldosterone. In addition, veroshpiron has a pronounced diuretic property. Without exerting a significant influence on the blood circulation in the kidneys and on the functioning of their tubules, veroshpiron (instructions for use to confirm this) does not alter the acid-base state of the human body.

When the patient periodically has irregularities in limb movements due to the slow release of potassium ions from the body, he is also assigned veroshpiron.

The use of this drug is possible even with persistent high blood pressure. In this case, it is used to enhance the effect of pressure-lowering medications taken by the patient. Dosage for hypertension is as follows: for a day three to four times to 0.025 grams.

With Parkinson's disease, veroshpiron (instructions for use gives an indication of this) is prescribed by the following therapeutic course: 20 days of admission, then a break for four to five months, then again for twenty days.

The use of this medication can be accompanied by dermatoses, that is, manifestations of allergic reactions on the skin. Side effects include sleepiness, dizziness, a possible decrease in blood levels of sodium and increased potassium. In some cases, patients may experience decreased erections, menstrual irregularities, and other unpleasant consequences.

Do not use veroshpiron in the treatment of pregnant women (in the 1st trimester) and patients with renal acute insufficiency, as well as patients with hyperkalemia and urolithiasis.

The doctor most often prescribes this drug the next dose: per day from 0.05 to 0.3 grams. An adult patient per day should take (according to the appointment of his doctor) after eating 0.1 to 0.2 grams in two to four doses. Already 4-5 days after the start of taking veroshpiron in a patient's condition, improvements are seen. Less than two weeks to drink this drug does not make sense, since the maximum effect is achieved only by the end of the second week. When the patient's condition begins to improve, the dosage can be reduced to 0.075 and even up to 0.025 grams. The doctor must always warn the patient that during treatment with veroshpiron it is not recommended to use drugs in parallel, which contain potassium.

Children take the medicine as directed by the doctor. Usually, the amount of money taken is calculated by the weight of the child, that is, 3 milligrams per kilogram. The day is prescribed either a single or two-time intake of this medication.

The drug "Veroshpiron" (instruction on the use of this contains information) has analogues: spirorolactone, spiro, aldactone, verospiron, practon 50, aldactone A, spironol, spirix, etc.

The release of this potassium-sparing diuretic is carried out in tableted form for 25 milligrams. In the package there are usually 100 tablets, although there are 20 of them. It is forbidden to store veroshpiron (instructions for use in this case are unambiguous) in moist air and in light.

Before taking a tablet of veroshpiron, which undoubtedly has a unique mild diuretic effect, do not forget to get advice from a qualified and experienced doctor, especially since without his prescription this medicine can not be bought at a pharmacy.
