One such is a varnish for furniture. Lacquered furniture is not only an attribute of the classical interior, but also a practical solution for modern styles. These varnishes are used to cover furniture, flooring and other wood products. This is because the varnished surface is protected from various damages, moisture, sunlight and so on. Lacquer for furniture is classified according to the composition and type of surface on which it can be applied.

Isolate a group of varnishes, with which the floor is treated. They are subject to special requirements, as these surfaces are more susceptible to permanent mechanical stress. The second group includes ship lacquers. They have increased resistance to moisture. Therefore, it is advisable to use them for rooms with high humidity (for example, for bathrooms). In the third group - a varnish for furniture. With its help, furniture is decorated inside and outside the premises. It is worth noting that a special kind of this material is selected - a varnish for children's furniture. As part of these funds, a minimum amount of chemicals is used, and they are completely safe.

Choosing a varnish for furniture, it is necessary to consider the type of surface, grade of wood and the composition of the substance. Let us dwell on this in more detail. The varnish, which is water-based, is safe, has no toxic odor, which excludes work in special breathing apparatus. Also it is fireproof. A varnish for furniture on an organic solvent is characterized by a sharp odor, during work it is necessary to use respiratory protection. It should be noted that such varnishes are easily ignited. Therefore, when applying them, you must avoid direct sunlight. Varnish for furniture can be applied independently.

Before applying the varnish to the surface, you must first test it: apply to an inconspicuous part and see if the color does not change. Especially it is necessary to make before drawing on light or white furniture. After treatment, the surface may turn yellow.

Before use, the varnish is stirred, but in no way should it be shaken.

The varnish is applied in three stages. After each layer, it is allowed to dry (at least two hours), then it needs to be ground to smooth the surface and improve adhesion between subsequent layers, and then the next layer is applied.

Varnish for furniture restoration can be used the same as for conventional surface coating. When restoring furniture, the main thing is to carefully prepare it, remove the remains of the old coating and prepare the surface to apply a new one.

It is worth noting that the lacquer according to its texture can be matte, glossy or silky, and also in the form of a spray. The latter is perfectly suitable for achieving a uniform, thin and durable layer.
