After all, cruel treatment of "our younger brothers" is not only bad, immoral, but also dangerous for human health and life.

A few facts from the biography of the author

His father was a grandson to Prince Ivan Vasilievich. Vladimir early orphaned. The boy was brought up in the guardian's house on the father's line. The main characters of the fairy tale

  • The author strolling along the Neva embankment. It is he who observes a picture of disdainful and sometimes very cruel treatment of animals.
  • Cab. The boy driving the horse. He was hired by the owner of the stallion Gnezdo.
  • A fat gentleman with glasses. He sits in a cart, which Gnetko carries.
  • Vanya with Dasha. Children of the first owner of the stallion Gnezdo. They knew this horse still with a foal, they loved her very much and cared for her.

Who else is narrated in the story "Poor Gnezdo"? The main characters in it are not only people, but also animals, for example, a horse-drawn horse, little dog Charlot.

Sick of a Gone

A horse with a brichka is running along the embankment of the Neva River . A young cabman is sitting on the box and chases it. Today is a holiday, the streets are crowded. The driver is in a hurry to help out as much money as possible that day.

After all, many people go and pay well. Likhach did not notice how his horse lost the horseshoe, slipped and zashibla leg. Poor Gnezdo (the so-called stallion) goes and limps. The driver does not pay attention to it and drives the horse.

The passer-by, the author, makes a remark to him, indicating that the animal can no longer run. But the boy waved at the box. The owner, who hired him, will probably ask him good revenue in the evening. And after Gnedko boys run and tease him. It seems funny to them that the horse walks and stumbles. The driver gets angry with them and pushes out all his irritation on the poor animal, whipping him harder and harder.

And in the carriage, driven by Gnezdo, a fat gentleman with glasses is sitting. He wrapped himself in the frost from the cold and put a hat on his eyes. This gentleman hurries to someone for dinner, and he absolutely does not care about the sick horse that carries him. He reasoned like this: "The horse is not mine. Let the driver even kill her, I do not care. " What will end the suffering of a sick animal? Further, the story "Poor Gnezdo" tells about the time when this stallion was still small.

A foal - foal

An uneasy life now at the horse. And yet, when she was little, everything was different. In the yard there is spring, the grass is green, birds are chirping, and the Gnezko foal is sporting near his mother, Serko's mare, plowing the land.

And in the evening, when the horses return to the corral, Gennady will meet Vanyusha with Dasha, the children of the host. They combed his short mane, wiped it with straw, and gave them fresh juicy grass, picked especially for him beforehand. For the night, the children train their litter on the ward so that he can lie gently.

How the foal loved them! He almost envies Vanyusha and Dasha, and rushes to them on her fast feet. He will run up and stretch his trusting neck. And they feed him bread. Soon Gnedko grew and turned into a stallion stallion.

The owner decided to sell it, figuring out what good money can be bailed out for such a horse. How the children cried, when Gnedko was taken to the Horse, as they asked the buyer not to torment their glorious horse, did not force her to carry weights. To pass all the bitterness of loss, the frustration of the children described in the work, can even its brief content. "Poor Gnezdo" - this is a story that can cause even the most stale person to grieve. This is exactly what the author of the story hoped for.

Desperate situation

The people crowded on the embankment. What happened? Poor Gnezko, unable to flee anymore, fell, burrowing his face in the snow in pain. His foot swelled. The cabman bustles near him, trying to raise a sick horse. Passers-by help him. But the stallion only snores, but can not get up. The driver is ready to begin to cry. Now he will fall for the spoiled horse from the owner. The fat gentleman who sat in the britzka got angry and left without paying a penny to the boy. How to be? The compassionate passer-by, the author of the story, gives the cabman money to call a friend with a horse and sleigh to take the poor stallion home. The unlucky coachman learned a lesson - not to ride on the sick horse henceforth and not torment her, since nothing good will end there.

Here is an instructive story told MF. Odoyevsky. "Poor Gnezdo," a summary of which is given here - a story that reads in one breath. Surely the children will like it.

Do not torture poor animals!

In conclusion, the author gives one more instructive story. It is about a small dog Charlot, who lost her master. This defenseless animal, left without supervision, clung to the wall and looked at everyone sullenly. It was surrounded by street boys, who began teasing her, dragging him by the tail and throwing stones.

Poor Charlot could not stand it and rushed at some of them and bitten. What happened to the dog? Nothing. But the bitten boys got rabies. It is known that this is a terrible insidious disease, often resulting in the death of the patient. This ends the story. What would we like to complete the story (its summary)? Poor Gnezko probably recovered and again began to carry people, the cabman became more attentive to him, and the dog Charlot found its owners ... This is perhaps the most desired end of this work.

Moral of the author's creation

In the collection of short stories VF. Odoyevsky under the title "Tales of Grandpa Irenaeus" also included the fairy tale "Poor Gnezdo". The summary of it may well convey what the author wanted to convey to his little readers. Vladimir Fedorovich urges children not to mock animals and not to tease them. After all, even the smallest dog, defending itself, can bite its offenders. And this is very dangerous for health, because the disease of rabies, transmitted to humans from animals, is fatal.

And, finally, the cruel treatment of "our younger brothers" says that such a person is angry and immoral. Hardly anyone ever wants to be friends or communicate with him. There is even a proverb to the story "Poor Gnezdo." It sounds like this: "Through strength and the horse does not jump." And there are a few other proverbs about horses, for example, this: "Do not drive a horse with a whip, but drive a horse with oats." And another such: "Either feed sting, or horse."

We read the work of V.F. Odoevsky from the collection "Tales of Grandfather Irenaeus", or rather its brief content. "Poor Gnezdo" is a story about how not to deal with animals.
