Under construction subway station "Seligerskaya"

At the moment there is no such station in the current scheme of the Moscow Metro. If everything goes according to the approved schedule of construction works, the metro station "Seligerskaya" will receive the first passengers at the end of 2014. For many residents of the northern part of the capital, this event will be of paramount importance. The opening of the metro station "Seligerskaya" will make it possible in principle to modernize the entire transport infrastructure of the Northern Administrative District. The road to the center of Moscow will take no more than half an hour. And this will make life in the residential neighborhoods close to the metro much more comfortable.

Seligerska metro station: how it will look like

Lubelsko-Dmitrovskaya line is marked in the metro scheme with a light green color. The project of its radius, going in the northern direction, several times was subjected to changes and modifications. The metro station "Seligerskaya" was to be the final point of the launch site. From the original intention to build a section of the line by the open method had to be abandoned, for this it would have been necessary to cut off the Dmitrov highway for a while. It was necessary to choose a more expensive construction option by tunnel tunneling. But the fact that construction is not conducted in an open way does not allow it to be attributed to deep lines. According to expert estimates, this engineering solution allows to save significant material resources and complete the construction on schedule.

Accordingly, the project of the subway station "Seligerskaya" under construction was reworked. In the final approved version, it will be a three-layer columned, shallow station. One can not but rejoice over the fact that no one is going to save on the design and decorative finishing of the interiors of the station. As far as it is possible to carry out the conceived, it is impossible to judge yet, but in a virtual form the station looks quite dignified. Exits from it will allow to get to the Dmitrovskoe and Korovinskoe highways, Pialovskaya street and Tumanyan square. This place and today can not be called a backwater, and with the arrival of a new subway line here it will become even more attractive for business development. The proximity to the metro significantly increases the capitalization of both residential and non-residential real estate, sharply activates all sorts of commercial activities.

What will happen next

The final station of the launch site in the Dmitrov direction is the Seligerska metro station. Metro scheme in the past did not provide for its development beyond the Ring Road. But this position has long been outdated. Back in November 2011, a strategic decision was made that Seligerskaya is not forever destined to be the terminal station. The metro line will continue to MKAD, and then further in the direction of the area. At present, work is already underway to build two stations after Seligerskaya, they will be called "The Square of the 800th Anniversary of Moscow" and "Dmitrovskoye Shosse". Further continuation of the line is under development.
