Tuberculosis of the lungs, its signs, diagnosis and treatment

The term "tuberculosis" is known practically to all people. Even those who have never experienced this disease have a clear idea of how dangerous it is to humans. Unfortunately, in Russia today there is quite a tense and unfavorable situation in tuberculosis. This disease is transmitted directly by airborne droplets, which means it spreads very quickly. Tuberculosis is caused by a stick of Koch falling into the lungs. Penetrating into the human body, Koch's wand, is able to hit other organs - internal organs, skin, bones, eyes.

Tuberculosis of the lungs is one of the existing forms of tuberculosis, which occurs most often. A person who has contracted pulmonary tuberculosis becomes a carrier and source of infection. The causative agent of this disease is very easy to catch, it is not necessary to have close contact with a patient with pulmonary tuberculosis. The wand can be inhaled in any public place (almost without exception). In a healthy person, according to statistics, the likelihood of developing pulmonary tuberculosis is 4 to 6%.

The first signs of pulmonary tuberculosis and diagnosis

The first symptomatology of pulmonary tuberculosis is insignificant and subtle. Very often pulmonary tuberculosis is confused with other diseases of the respiratory system - bronchitis, pneumonia. This is due to similar signs and symptoms. The first sign of pulmonary tuberculosis is often considered to be a significant and seemingly causeless weight loss. After the infection with the virus has occurred, sharply a person can lose about 10 kilograms in weight. Then there is irritability, sweating (especially at night in a dream), fatigue. Then there is pain in the chest when inhaling and coughing.

For an accurate diagnosis, an X-ray examination is required. Also, microbacteria of tuberculosis are detected during sputum examination and blood analysis.

Classification of pulmonary tuberculosis

To date, we know quite a large number of types and forms of pulmonary tuberculosis. Here are the varieties of the disease that occur most often:

  1. Primary tuberculosis - in the human body is due to the penetration of the stick Koch into the lungs. Foci of inflammation are formed because of the rapid multiplication of tubercle bacilli.
  2. Secondary tuberculosis most often occurs due to the reactivation of the early (first) focus of inflammation or re-infection. In this case, the organism is familiar with the infection and the further development of the disease differs significantly from the course of primary tuberculosis.

Based on the prevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis, distinguish:

  • Disseminated tuberculosis;
  • Miliary tuberculosis ;
  • Tuberculous pleurisy ;
  • Infiltrative tuberculosis ;
  • Tuberculoma;
  • Focal tuberculosis ;
  • Cavernous tuberculosis;
  • Cirrhotic tuberculosis;
  • Fibro-cavernous pulmonary tuberculosis.

Treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis

In Russia there are 4 main methods of fighting this disease:

  1. Surgical treatment and collapse therapy;
  2. chemotherapy;
  3. Sanitation and health treatment (including adherence to a strict diet);
  4. Medicamentous treatment (vitamins and hormonal preparations). This method is used more often than others.

In addition to basic methods, the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis with folk remedies is quite common.

It should be understood that in the modern world the diagnosis of "pulmonary tuberculosis" is not a verdict at all. With proper and timely treatment for this disease can be easily disposed of. It is necessary to follow all the instructions of the attending physician, monitor the diet, permanently get rid of such harmful habits as the use of tobacco and alcohol, and, of course, beware of stress.
