State duty for the passport: choose the passport correctly

If you decide to travel outside the Russian Federation, you will need to have a foreign passport.

But before you receive it, you must pay the state fee. If you do not know how to pay state duty for a passport, then this article is for you.

Let's start with the fact that not only payment for a foreign passport, but in general all types of payments in favor of the state are made in the Savings Bank of the Russian Federation, with the exception of some cases. Although, in fact, it is very rare.

So, you come to the Savings Bank and before you pay the state duty for the passport to enter the state treasury, you should find a receipt and a sample of its completion. This is very easy to do, and the bank branches are located almost at every corner in any settlement.

If you do not want to waste time on such a procedure as a state duty passport, you can easily download this receipt from the Internet. At home, without hurrying up, you fill it and come to the bank branch already "armed." For example, the requisite for paying the state fee can be found on the official website of the FMS.

If, for any reason, you do not have the opportunity to visit the Savings Bank, you can go to any other one that serves individuals. Therefore, the state duty for the passport should not be difficult for you - the whole thing is only in the amount of the commission charged, because, as is known, each bank has its own. Although, according to official sources, the commission for such a process is not charged.

Next, you should receive a check for payment, in fact, which will be the document confirming the deposit of a certain amount of money.

The very amount of the state fee for a foreign passport will depend solely on your choice: either you decide to issue an old passport, or you will want to issue a passport for a new sample, or, as it is called otherwise, a biometric passport.

So, according to the latest data, when registering the old model, the state duty for the passport is one thousand rubles, and you can use it for five years. If you decide to issue a biometric passport, then the state fee will be two and a half thousand rubles, and the passport will be with you for ten years.

Similarly, when registering for a child who has not reached the age of 14: the state duty for an old passport is three hundred rubles, and a new sample - 1200 rubles.

Of course, and the completion, depending on the choice of passport, the column "Purpose of payment" will be different:

- old passport: you need to indicate "state duty for issuing a foreign passport";

- a new passport: "state fee for registration of a foreign passport, which contains an electronic information carrier."

Naturally, when choosing a particular passport, you need to be guided only by your own considerations.

So, if you often leave the borders of our homeland, you may need a new passport, and if you decide to go abroad a couple of times - the old one.

Of course, advice in this case is inappropriate - everyone should decide only himself.
