This is quite natural, especially if we consider that the manufacture of swing gates is carried out for many years and even centuries. Explain this popularity is easy. The ease of operation and the highest reliability are two factors that have always been highly valued. And now the owners of cottages and summer residents are constantly working on improving their design. That's why it's worth making a gate swinging with your own hands. If earlier it was a muffled structure made of wood, now it is something new, sometimes even with the installed automation and other modern technological innovations.

Types and types of swing gates

Depending on the material, it is customary to distinguish between wooden and metal gates. In the constructive plan, this can be a two-leaf and one-leaf gate. Quite often, especially in the construction of the gate of hangars, garages and warehouses, a combined type is used - a double-leaf gate with a wicket. This saves materials and space for a separate entrance. However, in most cases these will be deaf elements, and only occasionally one can find a lattice or tubular gate with an entrance directly into them. In most cases, the gate height is equal to two meters, while lifting above the ground is not taken into account. At the base of the earth, where there will be a place of locking, holes are provided from the pipes, which are 5-10 mm in diameter by a diameter larger than the thickness of the stoppers. Assembly and installation

All blanks must be sawn with a grinder with a tolerance of 1 mm. After this, you need to check the right angles, weld the details of the future perimeter of the gate halves, and then proceed to the cross bars and diagonals.

Marking under the hinges for the gate swinging is done at a distance of 30-40 cm from the edge of the frame, no less, and after that they can already be welded into place. Hinges are either purchased in the store, or ordered in the lathe workshop. Next, you can bring a hinged post and do all these actions with the help of welding by sticking. Welding machine can and do not use, but it will be necessary to screw through every canopy through thick sheets of steel through and through. When the metal is painted, you can start screwing the profiled sheet with screws with a press washer.

Final steps

The gate with its own hands is almost done. They are installed after the marking of the pillars, while the center of the main axis of the gate must be observed. The base of the pillar assumes that an iron pipe with a diameter of 100 mm will be built into it. It should be dug at 130-150 mm. These works suggest that you must take profiled sheets and put them on top of your frame, made earlier. Self-tapping or riveting is used for their fastening.
